Liang Bing's Hesitation

After parting ways with Zhao Yun that day, our Queen fell into a dilemma.

After that, Liang Bing took a good look at this world.

Zhao Yun was right. It was hard to make people acknowledge you; it was not something that could be achieved by blindly producing demons.

Zhao Yun had gotten up today intending to talk to Su Jiu about the De Nuo Civilization, but Su Jiu had said, "It is not time yet. The current situation is the best one." That left Zhao Yun with nothing to do, so he came out to buy some liangpi and calm his nerves.

Zhao Yun turned and saw the beautiful woman he had spoken with that day. He asked, "Want a serving?"

Liang Bing looked at it and said, "Sure, give me one."

Two servings of liangpi—one for Zhao Yun and one for Liang Bing. The two sat on the curb and began eating.

Zhao Yun pulled two bottles of Lao Bai Gan from his pocket and said, "Have one."

"Have one," Liang Bing said as she slurped up a bite of liangpi.

Zhao Yun handed Liang Bing a bottle, opened one for himself, took a sip, then slurped up another bite of liangpi. "Actually, this liangpi would be better with some chili added."

Liang Bing took a small sip of Lao Bai Gan and said, "It is fine. Pretty good."

Liang Bing watched Zhao Yun take a mouthful of Lao Bai Gan, then a mouthful of liangpi.

Zhao Yun turned his head and asked, "What is it?"

Liang Bing took a bite of liangpi and asked, "Are you always like this?"

Zhao Yun thought for a moment and said, "Yeah. This is pretty good. I have my own group of companions. I can eat barbecue with them on the street, or dine at fancy restaurants. Everyone is independent, but gathering together is fate."

Liang Bing took a sip of Lao Bai Gan and said, "This liquor is so spicy."

Zhao Yun took a huge gulp and said, "No need to force yourself. Drink if you want to drink, do not drink if you do not. Forcing yourself is forcing others."

Liang Bing froze for a moment. "You are quite special. But I like you."

Zhao Yun downed an entire bottle of Lao Bai Gan in one go and said, "I do not like you. If there is someone I like, I will pursue her myself. Even if it does not work out, I only want pure affection."

"Hey, hey, hey, I was joking. You do not have to take it so seriously, okay?" Liang Bing looked at Zhao Yun speechlessly.

After finishing the last bite of liangpi, Zhao Yun said, "You cannot say 'like' so casually, even as a joke." With that, Zhao Yun turned and left.

Watching Zhao Yun's departing back, Liang Bing said, "Well, that is just great. He looked down on me. But it is fine. I can just save him when the time comes, right?"

Just after Zhao Yun returned to the Hyperion, a message came through the Guild Channel.

Baili Shouyue: "Big news! Great Sage Equaling Heaven has appeared."

Liu Chuang: "Monkey Bro, my idol! Where is he? Where is he? I want to go see him."

Kiana: "Fiery Eyes and Golden Gaze? I want to go too. Uncle Chuang, take me to see him."

Zhao Yun: "Why are you making such a fuss, Liu Da Zao? There are plenty of monkeys on Monkey Mountain."

When Grey Wolf saw Su Jiu arrive, he said, "Captain, why are you here?"

Su Yi wanted to say something, but Mei took her hand and left.

Su Jiu took out a plate of grilled lamb skewers and said, "Grey Wolf, come eat something first."

Grey Wolf put down the item in his hand, ran to the rest area, sat down, and ate grilled lamb skewers with Su Jiu.

Su Jiu said, "Grey Wolf, do not push yourself so hard. Everyone is here together, are they not?"

Grey Wolf slowed the hand holding his grilled lamb skewer for a moment and said, "Captain, I understand. I will arrange my time more appropriately in the future."

Su Jiu smiled. "I know what you are thinking. You are the only researcher aboard the Hyperion. You handle everyone's weapon maintenance, and you handle weapon development too. I know you want to develop more powerful weapons so everyone has more ability to protect themselves."

Su Jiu chewed the meat in his mouth, swallowed it, and continued, "Do not worry. Once this period is over, I will give you a gift. Do not be too surprised when the time comes!"

Hearing Su Jiu mention a gift, Grey Wolf replied, "I promise I will not disappoint you, Captain."

After speaking with Grey Wolf, Su Jiu came to the deck. Mei had already sent Su Yi back and was waiting for Su Jiu.

Mei looked at Su Jiu and said, "Captain, you really do think of everyone."

"It is nothing, really. Mei saw it too, did she not?" Su Jiu said with a smile.

"Mei thought of it. It is best for the Captain to handle this matter. Mei would not be suitable," Mei said with a smile.

Su Jiu nodded helplessly. "Actually, it would be the same no matter who went, right?"

Mei paused, then smiled. "So this is the Captain's ideal homeland? Then Mei understands. Mei will help in the future too."

Su Jiu smiled and asked, "Where is Mei's ideal homeland?"

Mei smoothed the hair stirred by the breeze and said, "Captain, do you not already know? Why ask?"

Su Jiu shook his head. "Mei is still as understanding as ever."

Mei said, "Captain, we are almost there. Let us go take a look."

This chapter had to be written somehow. I originally wanted to jump straight to the monkey part, but after thinking about it, this was the best place to put it.
