Background

Before joining Team 7, Sakura viewed Naruto as an academically poor, prank-prone “dead last” and joined other students in mocking him. She had expected to contribute more to a team than he would, while being openly infatuated with Sasuke. 22 23 48

Her view of Naruto changes after witnessing his endurance, tactical insight, and overwhelming performance in the bell test. She comes to regard him as a powerful and dependable teammate, while increasingly feeling that she is Team 7's weakest member. 29 48
