Lady Li brushed back the strands of hair scattered by the wind. "The Conglomerate has accommodations for members passing through. If you don't mind, sir, you can stay with me in the Conglomerate dormitories."
Wu Heng glanced at the sky and said, "The Association has dormitories too. Let's meet at the entrance tomorrow morning and continue the journey."
"Alright, sir." Lady Li nodded with a smile.
They walked side by side into the Central District. The Association's and the Conglomerate's buildings faced each other across the street, still the tallest and most magnificent structures in the city.
After confirming the next day's plans once more, they parted at the intersection and entered their respective organizations' buildings.
By then, evening was approaching. The Association's hall staff had begun cleaning. When Wu Heng reached the front desk, a female dwarf said respectfully, "Sir, the Association is no longer handling missions at this hour."
Although the dwarves' distinctive complexion made it hard to judge age, the woman's voice suggested she was quite young.

"Yes, I'll take care of it immediately." The young dwarf swiftly completed the arrangements.
She then handed the front desk over to someone else, stood on tiptoe to take down a wall lamp, and personally led him to the third floor, stopping before a room.
