The moment the message was sent, Granda said thoughtfully, "Lilith is in charge of the Association's intelligence network. It's not strange for her to have information on the former cult leader."
"She said she 'knows' him." Empress Dowager frowned. "It feels like it's more than just having seen him in intelligence reports."
The phone chimed again. One Person, Two Souls both lowered their heads to look. "Torreto Castain! The former Archbishop of the Gray Saint Church, one of the first criminals I permanently exiled."
"How did you find out about him? Did you find the place of exile?"
Wu Heng and the two souls exchanged looks, each seeing surprise in the other's eyes.
This was completely different from the intelligence they had expected about the Twelve Heavens Sacred Cult. This Cult Saint had actually been the former leader of the vampires' core religious organization.
That was a lot to take in.
"Archbishop of the Gray Saint Church..." Granda murmured softly.
The room fell silent for a moment.
"So, this Torreto..." Wu Heng slowly pieced the clues together. "As one of the first Exiles to escape, he didn't choose to return to the vampires for revenge. Instead, he started fresh and established the Twelve Heavens Sacred Cult."
"He must have realized that under the Association's ruling system, going back would only let him vent his anger before being hunted endlessly," Granda said. "Establishing his own church really was the right choice."
"Long-lived races always have more ways to improve themselves," Empress Dowager said with a sigh. "If vampire society were reformed, their number of heroes might not be any less than the elves'."
"No race would want them to change," Granda said. "If they started drinking blood everywhere, that would be troublesome too."
