However, the War Beast Puppet before them was now missing its energy core. It could only absorb the mana dispersed in the air to move, barely maintaining basic motion and unable to enter actual combat.
Only after a new energy core was established could this colossal creation possibly regain its former combat power.
"Master, how is the situation?" Kyle asked when he saw Velin open his eyes.
"Right now, this War Beast Puppet can only be admired from afar, not handled. Only after we return to Qixing Territory and have my uncle repair it will its full form be restored."
Hearing his master's answer, Kyle surveyed the enormous construct before him and abandoned the thought of studying it.
If he broke it now, he would only add to Master O'dor's workload.
For now, he could only wait until Master O'dor repaired the War Beast Puppet, then slowly study its techniques and methods of mana application to see whether it might be possible to build a smaller War Beast Puppet.
Compared to its previous state of decay and corruption, the control core in the War Beast Puppet's abdomen now looked completely renewed. Specks of mana illuminated the space.
As Velin and Kyle entered, mana gradually gathered toward the altar, weaving itself into a pure-white four-legged beast.
Several minutes later, the white four-legged beast broke free of the altar's restraints and flew before Velin. It exposed its belly, displaying its harmless side.
Seeing this, Velin reached out and stroked the little white beast's belly. Although its body had been condensed from mana, the sensation beneath his hand felt remarkably real.
"This is the Spirit of the War Beast. It was only born recently. Do you want to touch it?" Velin asked with a smile as he looked at the curious Kyle.
