Velin turned to Lester and asked, "Knight Lester, Pope Emicilia asked me to keep you by my side for three years. You will need to accompany me on this trip to the Sea-Sky Ice Abyss as well. How do you plan to arrange things for your disciple's granddaughter? Should I find her a teacher, or let her grow on her own?"
Hearing this, Lester replied, "Lord Velin, there is no need to trouble yourself over Milna. Once we return to Star Moon Fort, I will have her train for a year in White Wolf Village on the border of your territory."
Velin nodded and said nothing further.
Since the other party had made arrangements, there was no need for him to interfere.
After settling the various matters, Velin went to see Lance before leaving.
In a room carpeted with blankets, Lance lay sprawled out in his little nest, sleeping soundly.
After watching for a moment and seeing no sign that the little fellow would wake, Velin did not linger. He left, entered the gray fog, passed through the spring eye, and returned to the bottom of Pink Lake.
Reaching the shore, Velin went to the lair of Cosmo, the Black Dragon. After instructing him to guard the surface, he departed.
Upon returning to Star Moon Fort, Velin found Xuemiyya, held her in his arms, and said, "Time is limited, so I'll keep this brief."
Xuemiyya nodded and replied softly, "Go ahead. I'm listening."
"First, keep an appropriate eye on the Gray Fog Space. While I'm away, stability is all that matters."
"Second, matters concerning the Teleportation Array."
"By my estimate, within six months at the latest, a royal envoy will arrive in Qixing Territory with people from the Church of Dawn. When that time comes, you will make the decisions.
