Arc 20The Gray Fog and the Array

Velin expanded Qixing Territory, secured resources and influence through the fish disaster and the Teleportation Array, and reorganized his holdings as political tensions with Prince Tobias grew. He then entered the Gray Fog Space with Kyle to investigate its floating island and dangerous Gray creatures.

  • Midiya crossed the pink spring into the Gray Fog Space, survived its Gray creatures and returned with crystals that Kyle found could strengthen a soul after inducing despair.
  • Velin expanded Qixing Territory, completed the Curisco-Qixing trade agreement, negotiated his family’s Teleportation Array shares, and began training for the array’s construction.
  • Velin retrieved Mutated Plants from the Underground Gloomy World, then hired out troops to defend Beiyi Territory during the Deep Sea Fishmen disaster and gathered valuable resources.
  • Green cultivated a faster-fruiting Iceflower Tree, while Velin formed the Ninth Battalion under Midia and prepared Qixing Territory for the Teleportation Array.
  • Velin and Kyle investigated conflicting coordinates linked to a Demiplane, and Imor completed the Teleportation Array before the kingdoms connected it.
  • Velin accepted a manor from Second Prince Tobias, while Tobias’s delegation arrived and Velin suspected that Tobias’s allies had taken influential posts in Cadro Province.
  • Velin appointed Orlando to govern Zeferus and Randolph to administer West Wind County, then assigned Gray, now called Lahael, to manage plantations and breeding grounds.
  • Velin and Kyle entered the Gray Fog Space with Seraphina and their guards, explored its floating island, and killed three Gray creatures whose crystals Velin collected.
Chapters 476–500 Vol. 5 Read

Ch. 476Unknown Space, Grayish-white Creature

Midiya explored a lifeless wilderness beyond the gray mist, discovered grayish-white creatures whose crystals caused despairing thoughts, and fought his way back toward the mist. When a massive monster blocked his path, he charged toward the mist despite knowing it might kill him.

  • Midiya found no signs of life in the mana-rich wilderness and killed a grayish-white creature that emerged from the ground, taking its strange crystal.
  • Midiya was attacked by three stronger grayish-white creatures, fought them off, and collected their crystals while continuing toward the mist.
  • Midiya realized the crystals triggered suicidal thoughts and wrapped all four in the first creature's hide to keep their influence away.
  • Midiya spotted a huge monster blocking the route to the mist and decided the mist was likely the only safe place in the region.
  • Midiya charged toward the gray mist, and the huge monster roared and pursued him.

Ch. 477The Effects of Gray Crystals

Midiya survived the gray mist and returned from the pink spring, prompting Lord Kyle to investigate the Gray Crystals’ effects. Velin formed an expedition to explore the space beyond the spring.

  • Midiya sacrificed an arm to escape a grayish-white creature and reached the gray mist, where the creature refused to follow.
  • After the agreed three hours passed, Midiya emerged from the pink spring, and Lord Kyle treated his injuries.
  • Midiya described the creature and the gray mist, while Lord Kyle found and tested a Gray Crystal on Evans.
  • The Gray Crystal caused Evans to lose hope, then left him with a slightly stronger soul; Lord Kyle concluded its effects depended on the subject’s level.
  • Velin ordered Gray to lead an exploration team through the pink spring and appointed Cosmo as its vice-captain.

Ch. 478Raiding an Old Friend's Goods for the Third Time

Velin’s exploration team entered the pink spring while he led his army north and attacked a Dwarf transport unit. After seizing its cargo, he realized he had raided Marquis Dalag’s goods for the third time, but found no map.

  • Under Midiya’s guidance, the fifty-two-member exploration team entered the pink spring, while Kyle stayed behind to guard it and Velin continued clearing nearby Monster Clans.
  • Velin ordered Iden to march the Third Camp toward a Dwarf transport unit forty-five kilometers away, declaring that the Dwarves had entered his land.
  • When the Dwarf general spotted Velin’s army, he ordered his unit to defend the wagons, then charged with more than a hundred veterans while Komed led the other Dwarves in retreat.
  • Velin ordered Iden to stop pursuing the retreating Dwarves and recognized the seized goods as Marquis Dalag’s for the third time.
  • Iden reported the captured ores, timber, pearls, wine, silk, and gold, but no map; Velin dismissed him and felt disappointed.

Ch. 479Druid's Book—Its Unknown Effect

Velin learned that the pink spring led to a newly discovered Interlayer Space, then absorbed a Gray Crystal whose effects made him relax while strengthening his soul. After a destructive campaign expanded Qixing Territory, he returned to training and later met Rassel at the Curisco-Qixing Trade Agreement signing ceremony.

  • Kyle reported that the pink spring connected to an Interlayer Space and described its gray-white creatures and floating islands.
  • Velin held a High-Gold Gray Crystal, relaxed until dusk, and unknowingly absorbed it as his soul grew stronger; the Druid's Book secretly fed on his negative emotions.
  • Kyle urged Velin to train, and that night he prepared three rotating plans for Velin's Druid and knight paths.
  • Eighteen thousand troops assembled in West Wind County after the campaign, which left 286 soldiers dead, expanded Qixing Territory by three hundred kilometers, and nearly cleared Monster Clan tribes from the region.
  • Velin ordered gold coin rewards for the troops, returned to Starlight City, and began an intense training schedule under Kyle's supervision.
  • Two months later, Velin met Rassel at the signing ceremony for the Curisco-Qixing Trade Agreement, where Rassel thanked him for his help during the Seven Years' War.

Ch. 480Fish Disaster

Velin and Rassel opened the Curisco-Cadro-Qixing Highway with a trade agreement that boosted commerce in Qixing Territory. After learning that a fish disaster would erupt in the eastern regions in ten months, Velin planned to seek more information and look for a way to benefit from it.

  • Velin, Rassel, and more than a hundred nobles signed the Curisco-Qixing Trade Agreement, officially opening the highway and setting rules for passage plaques, tolls, and penalties.
  • Velin introduced Brian to Rassel, and Brian secured a thirty-thousand-Gold-Coin order; Velin also signed a one-hundred-thousand-Gold-Coin Ice Blue Potion order with Rassel.
  • Three months later, Velin received a summons to attend the Family Meeting at Windsor Castle, while learning that the Ex Family would hold only twenty-nine percent of the Teleportation Array shares.
  • Velin considered negotiating an exchange of benefits with his family after calculating that his share of the Zeferus Territory array would cost three billion Gold Coins.
  • Velin learned from Guidance of Fate that a fish disaster would begin in the eastern regions in ten months and resolved to ask his father about it at the Family Meeting.

Ch. 481Exchange of Costs

Velin negotiated with Angus to trade his share of the Teleportation Array for Transcendent Resources and discussed exploiting the coming fish disaster. Three days later, the Ex Family’s counts gathered for a meeting, where Ilisis began presenting the Teleportation Array incident.

  • Velin arrived at Windsor Castle and agreed to transfer seven percent of the Teleportation Array shares in exchange for four types of Transcendent Resources.
  • Velin asked Angus how to profit from the fish disaster, learned about valuable fishmen materials, and decided to hunt them in Count Simon’s coastal territory.
  • Velin planned to form an army hunting squad to gather Transcendent Resources during the disaster.
  • Velin joined Angus, Ilisis, and the four counts at the thirty-eighth Family Meeting, which addressed the Teleportation Array and aid for the family branch in the Duchy of Bohan.
  • Ilisis explained the Teleportation Array incident, shocking three of the counts, who turned to look at Velin.

Ch. 482Family Meeting

At the Family Meeting, Angus secured approval for the family’s Teleportation Array shares and construction costs, while aid for Simon Ex’s North Yi City was deferred pending an inspection. Afterward, Velin asked Earl Hurricane for instructors to train troops in Qixing Territory and enjoyed the family luncheon.

  • Angus presented the family’s 29 percent share of the Teleportation Array, and the family members unanimously approved the division between Qixing Territory and the family.
  • The family approved paying Qixing Territory’s share of the one-way array’s construction costs, with Misis abstaining.
  • Angus proposed funding Simon Ex’s development of North Yi City, but the family postponed the decision until Earl Hurricane could inspect the city.
  • Velin spoke with Earl Hurricane after the meeting and secured a twelve-man Hurricane Legion instructor group to help train three thousand soldiers in September.
  • Velin eagerly ate the luncheon’s rare dishes and Ice Flower Fruits until Angus gave him his own share as well.

Ch. 483Four kinds of magic potion plants

Velin gave Kyle Ice Flower Fruits to study, and Kyle revealed they could be used in a potion to help Bronze Knights advance to Silver Knights. Angus then took Velin to White Rock Plantation, where Velin chose two ice flower trees to take home.

  • Velin left the main hall with ten Ice Flower Fruits stored in his Space Ring and brought three to Kyle.
  • Kyle identified a potion recipe using Ice Flower Fruits, multi-flame flowers, and white star grass, while Velin decided to include the fruits among his transcendent resources.
  • Three days later, Angus took Velin through the Teleportation Array to White Rock Plantation and led him toward Area Three.
  • Velin examined the ice flower trees and selected two young ones, which a Low-rank Silver Druid stored in Magic Scrolls and warned would keep them alive for only three months.
  • Velin promised to care for the trees and continued with Angus to search the plantation for other suitable transcendent plants.

Ch. 484Green's Experiment

Velin prepared a force to hunt murlocs in North Yi City, while Green spent months experimenting with Ice Flower Trees. Green’s modified tree flowered, suggesting the experiment had greatly accelerated its growth, though she still needed to observe it longer.

  • Velin ordered each unit commander to select Silver-ranked warriors and later assembled three hundred professionals for the planned operation in North Yi City.
  • Velin told Kyle he intended to join the expedition and visit the Maple Leaf Special Zone, and Kyle accepted his plan.
  • Green used a modified Magic Array to alter Ice Flower Tree leaves and a branch, then planted and accelerated their growth into a sapling.
  • Green’s assistants recorded the sapling’s unusual veins, pores, and growth during the experiment.
  • Two months later, Adams told Green that Experimental Sample No. 27 had flowered, and Green found its magic power flowed more than three times faster than in a normal Ice Flower Tree.
  • Green estimated that the modified tree could fruit every twenty months instead of every five years, but said the experiment required at least six more months of observation.

Ch. 485Maple City

Velin and Kyle visited the Star Prayer Merchant Guild in Maple City to see how it had developed since Velin founded it. The chapter ended with Gary presenting records and explaining the guild’s current situation.

  • Velin and Kyle traveled to Maple City, explored its streets, and followed a map to the Star Prayer Merchant Guild.
  • Gary negotiated a loan with Soleni, who sought funds to save the merchant guild her late husband had left behind, and offered her fifteen thousand Gold Coins against her manor.
  • Gary recognized Velin, welcomed him respectfully, and led him and Kyle upstairs to speak privately.
  • Kyle asked Gary to describe the guild’s development, and Gary brought out documents for Velin to review before explaining its current state.

Ch. 486Assets of the Star Prayer Merchant Guild

Velin reviewed the Star Prayer Merchant Guild’s assets and accounts, then traveled with Kyle to the Maple Underground World to find three soul-soothing Mutated Plants. They entered the underground world after buying a map from the fortress army.

  • Gary reported that the Star Prayer Merchant Guild’s industries were worth 9.73 million Gold Coins, and Kyle confirmed that its accounts were sound.
  • Velin learned that Duke Lightend had promoted Gary, praised his work, and set out to tour the Maple Leaf Special Zone.
  • After Guidance of Fate revealed three soul-soothing Mutated Plants underground, Velin decided to retrieve them, and Kyle agreed to accompany him.
  • Velin and Kyle reached Asad Fortress, rejected a map offered by an information broker, and bought one from the fortress army instead.
  • Velin and Kyle paid the passage fee, entered the Underground Gloomy World, and followed the faintly glowing plants along its rock walls.

Ch. 487Maple Leaf Underground World Journey (Part 1)

Velin and Kyle traveled through the Underground World, where Kyle killed two Underground Worms and captured Shadow Wolves for Velin to use as mounts. They reached the edge of their map near a Dark Elf city-state, and Kyle went to capture its lord as a guide.

  • An Underground Worm devoured adventurers nearby, and Kyle crushed two attacking worms and retrieved their Magic Cores.
  • Velin and Kyle chose a white-furred Shadow Wolf as Velin’s mount and took two female Shadow Wolves to breed.
  • Kyle restrained four Shadow Wolves, including the Shadow Wolf King, and Velin stored the two females in the Druid’s Book.
  • Velin and Kyle rode through the Underground World until they reached the known edge of their map, eighty kilometers from their destination.
  • Velin rested in a cave while Kyle went to capture the Dark Elf city-state’s lord and make him guide them.

Ch. 488Maple Underground World Journey (Part 2)

Velin and Kyle journeyed through the Underground World to retrieve three Mutated Plants, with Kyle testing his new power and defeating a Shadow Octopus along the way. Velin reached North Yi City after leaving the Underground World and traveling through Maple City and Xinnai Province.

  • Kyle captured Dark Elf Matriarch Balia and used his power to make nearby Dark Elves kill themselves.
  • Velin threatened Balia, who led him and Kyle to a cavern, where Kyle killed a Shadow Octopus and took its heart.
  • Guided by Grolier, Velin and Kyle found three Mutated Plants and placed them in the Druid's Book for the Green Spirits.
  • Velin let Grolier go, and he and Kyle fought off three groups of bandits on their return journey.
  • Velin and Kyle left Asad Fortress, traveled through Maple City and Xinnai Province, and arrived at North Yi City ten days later.

Ch. 489A Deal with Count of Beiyi

Velin prepared his forces for a low-intensity Deep Sea Fishmen invasion and attended Count Simon’s defense meeting in North Yi City. After Simon asked for Velin’s warriors, they began negotiating payment in harbor and city properties.

  • Velin ordered Gray and An to lead separate groups hunting valuable Deep Sea Fishmen, while Kyle was assigned to handle any Soul Intent rank Fishmen.
  • Velin attended Count Simon’s meeting, where Simon assigned troops to defend Karuss Town and Karak Town against roughly three hundred thousand Deep Sea Fishmen.
  • After the meeting, Simon asked Velin to provide warriors for the defense of Beiyi Territory, offering payment at the highest adventurer hiring rates.
  • Velin agreed to the standard rate and said Simon could pay with other assets instead of money.
  • Simon offered one harbor dock and thirty shops in North Yi City’s West City District as payment for Velin’s employment.

Ch. 490Ancient Forbidden Incident

Velin gave Hui and An orders to help defend Beiyi Territory, then discussed how to manage the North Yi City assets he received from Count Simon. When Velin proposed controlling Deep Sea Fishmen to open deep-sea trade, Kyle warned him with the history of Vilbrun Press and the forbidden incident, leaving Velin to abandon the plan.

  • Velin accepted a dock and thirty shops in North Yi City from Count Simon, then sent Hui and An to aid the towns of Beiyi Territory.
  • Kyle suggested Hawkins, Chief Steward Belder's secretary, as a trustworthy candidate to manage the assets, and Velin planned to train him for a future post in North Yi City.
  • Velin proposed secretly capturing high-status Deep Sea Fishmen to control them and establish deep-sea trade.
  • Kyle recounted how Vilbrun Press became Pope of the Spiked Fishmen, replaced their god, and ultimately became the current God of Spiked Fishmen.
  • Kyle explained that the gods revised the Law of All Gods and sealed away the forbidden incident, and Velin abandoned his plan in favor of possibly contacting the Mermaid Kingdom.

Ch. 491A Brief Fishmen Disaster

Count Simon, Galak, and Velin defended Karuss Town and the six towns of Beiyi Territory against repeated Spiked Fishmen attacks until the five-month fishmen disaster subsided. After the victory banquet, Velin reviewed a report and was pleased with Gray and An’s performance and the Transcendent Resources they had gathered.

  • Count Simon prepared Karuss Town’s defenses as around eighty thousand Spiked Fishmen landed and attacked the city.
  • Velin used his Cycle of Life and Death and vines to defend a stretch of wall while Count Simon’s soldiers fought off the attackers.
  • After the Spiked Fishmen retreated, Ubuqi and Uruk discussed delaying their next attack and their tribe’s brutal customs beneath the sea.
  • Over the next one hundred and forty days, Count Simon’s forces repelled several offensives and held the six towns of Beiyi Territory.
  • In February of 9745, the disaster subsided, and Count Simon hosted a victory banquet using his personal wealth.
  • The next morning, Velin reviewed a report and was satisfied with Gray and An’s performance and the resources worth over one million Gold Coins.

Ch. 492Results of Improving the Iceflower Tree

Velin learned that Green had successfully cultivated a higher-yielding Iceflower Tree variety and rewarded him while giving his assistants a chance to prove themselves. Three days later, Velin formed the Ninth Battalion under Midia, whose new post brought hope to his family despite his missing arm.

  • Green reported that the new Iceflower Tree produced more fruit, though its fruit was less potent, and Velin ordered it cultivated alongside the original variety while research continued.
  • Velin rewarded Green and agreed to consider assistants Adams and Isla as future apprentices if they developed crops suited to Qixing Territory within five years.
  • Adams and Isla each chose either Holly Wheat or Azure Sun Tree seeds to cultivate under Green's guidance.
  • Velin formed the Ninth Battalion from soldiers of the third-tier forces and appointed Midia as its commander.
  • Midia told his wife Silvia and their children that he would work hard for them, and he comforted Silvia over the arm he had lost.

Ch. 493The Mage Corps Arrives, Mysterious Coordinates

Velin welcomed his uncle Imor and the Mage Corps to Qixing Territory, where they began preparations to construct a Teleportation Array. Later, Velin recorded mysterious coordinates and learned from Kyle that the first pointed to a location in Reality Space southwest of Qixing Territory.

  • Velin welcomed Imor and his three thousand knights outside Star Prayer City, and Imor assessed Velin's army.
  • Velin hosted a quiet banquet for Imor, then guided him to the designated Teleportation Array construction site.
  • Imor assigned the Mage Corps eight major tasks and one hundred and thirty-six minor tasks to prepare for construction.
  • Velin returned to Star Moon Fort and, on July 1st, recorded coordinates associated with a future Demiplane.
  • Velin summoned Kyle, who calculated that the first coordinate marked a point two hundred kilometers southwest of Qixing Territory in Reality Space, where one could enter the Shadow World.

Ch. 494Coordinate Calculation

Velin brought four sets of mysterious coordinates to O'dor after Kyle could not solve them all. O'dor and Kyle revised their approach based on the coordinates' origin in a world being devoured, then resumed their calculations while Velin played chess with Theo.

  • Kyle told Velin he could not calculate the last two coordinate sets and that his result for the second contradicted the first.
  • Velin took the coordinates to O'dor's underground laboratory, where O'dor began analyzing them.
  • O'dor calculated that the first set led to a lake west of the Shadow World and the second to a passage northeast, but found conflicting results for the third set.
  • O'dor suggested that the world's expansion may have changed the rules used in their calculations.
  • Velin explained that the coordinates came from a large planar world being devoured, and Kyle and O'dor decided to use the Druid approach and the Doris-Milich-Davici-Kazit World Theory.
  • Kyle and O'dor returned to calculating the coordinates while Velin resumed playing chess with Theo.

Ch. 495Picking Seven-Colored Life Flowers, Prelude to Connecting the Teleportation Array

Velin retrieved nine mature Seven-Colored Life Flowers from Qixing Lake and gave one to Gray as promised. With the large Teleportation Array complete, Duke Moravia and royal and ducal representatives arrived in Qixing Territory for its final connection, while Moravia confronted Imor and Angus about their duties.

  • Velin reviewed the matching coordinate calculations, then visited Qixing Lake two days later and picked nine mature Seven-Colored Life Flowers.
  • Velin stored eight flowers in the Underground Treasury and gave the ninth to Gray as a reward for his work in the fish disaster hunt.
  • On December 25th, Radiant Calendar 9745, Imor completed the large Teleportation Array, leaving only its final connection.
  • Duke Moravia, Second Prince Tobias, royal diplomats, ducal heirs, and Counts Eagle Angus and Elisa arrived in Qixing Territory for the array's opening.
  • At a private banquet, Duke Moravia canceled Imor's rest days for three years and told Angus to visit Kala Floating City in June.

Ch. 496Prince Tobias

Velin received a precious magical item from Duke of Moravia, then attended Prince Tobias’s tea party and discussed the Silver Dragon Burke Kingdom. He accepted Tobias’s valuable manor deed but remained wary of the prince’s friendly manner.

  • Elisa persuaded Duke of Moravia to cancel Velin’s trial, and the duke gave Velin a Legendary Grade Second Core.
  • Hilda told Velin that Prince Tobias had invited him to a tea party at a guest manor outside Star Prayer City.
  • Velin met Tobias and his guards Popul and Walder, while privately remaining cautious about the prince.
  • Velin shared limited information about the Silver Dragon Burke Kingdom, and Tobias offered him a two-hundred-acre manor in Miyer City.
  • Velin accepted the deed and left; Tobias dropped his smile after seeing him off.

Ch. 497Connecting the Teleportation Array

Tobias prepared to receive the Silver Dragon Burke Kingdom’s delegation while the Duke of Moravia connected the Teleportation Arrays between the two kingdoms. After the delegation arrived and left for the royal capital, Angus told Velin to keep the commercial district for himself rather than reserve land for the family.

  • Tobias instructed Popper and Walder to avoid offending the Duke of Moravia, keep possible spies in the delegation in mind, seek positions from Lady Audrey, and invite Heilder Ister Enichi.
  • Three days later, the Duke of Moravia and a twelve-hundred-year-old Legendary Ancient Silver Dragon connected the Teleportation Arrays between the kingdoms.
  • Tobias welcomed the thirteen arrivals, including Fenius, and hosted a banquet for the Silver Dragon Burke Kingdom’s delegation.
  • The next morning, Fenius led his delegation to the royal capital while the representatives of the dukes departed under their agreement not to interfere with Qixing Territory.
  • Velin asked Angus whether to reserve land for the family, and Angus told him to manage the commercial district himself as compensation for opening the Teleportation Array.

Ch. 498Concessions in the Provincial Capital's Layout

Velin discussed the Teleportation Array’s garrison and his influence in Cadro Province with Angus, who advised him to yield some positions as princes competed for control. After his parents left, Velin recalled Raimondo and ordered him to scale back their presence in the Provincial Capital while keeping key positions, preparing for Orlando to become chief steward of Zeferus Territory.

  • Angus told Velin that a Legendary Expert would guard the Teleportation Array from Cadro Province and advised him to relinquish some positions in the Provincial Capital.
  • Elisa discussed Velin’s October wedding with him, and Angus and Elisa returned to Eagle Territory two days later.
  • Velin summoned Raimondo from Cadro Province, and Raimondo left his wife, Dorisa, to report to Qixing Territory overnight.
  • Raimondo reported that Frankie, Belfi, and Azenor had recently taken influential posts in Cadro Province, and Velin suspected they served the Second Prince, Tobias.
  • Velin ordered Raimondo to give up most positions in the West City District Constabulary Bureau and the Commercial Inspection Section while retaining positions in the Third Constabulary Station.
  • Velin reassured Raimondo that they would strike back if challenged, reassigned departing officials to local jurisdictions or military posts, and prepared for Orlando to become chief steward of Zeferus Territory.

Ch. 499West Wind City

Velin inspected Orlando’s heavily militarized West Wind County and appointed him to govern Zeferus and command its legion. He arranged for Randolph to replace Orlando, while Lahael trained under Randolph and later took charge of Qixing Territory’s plantations and breeding grounds.

  • Orlando welcomed Velin to West Wind City and showed him the city and West Wind County’s militia forces.
  • Velin appointed Orlando the highest administrator of Zeferus and commander of the Zeferus Legion, promising the Fire Lion Knight Order three thousand Red Phosphorus Horses within ten years.
  • Velin offered Randolph the position of West Wind County Administrator, then ordered Gray to learn management from Randolph and restore his True Name, Lahael.
  • Velin placed forty Silver Wolf Knights under Randolph’s command and instructed him to ensure the plantations ran properly.
  • One month later, Randolph succeeded Orlando as West Wind County Administrator, and Lahael took over management of Qixing Territory’s Magic Potion Plantations and Transcendent creature breeding grounds.

Ch. 500Developing the Gray Fog Space

Velin entered the Gray Fog Space with Kyle and explored its lifeless landscape, then flew to a floating island and discovered that Gray creatures there carried dangerous power. After collecting three Gray Crystals, Velin and Kyle returned to the ground, leaving further exploration for when they had more strength.

  • Velin ordered Orphus and his troops to stay away from Pink Lake and assigned Cosmo to guard it, rewarding him with one hundred Gold Coins.
  • Velin, Kyle, Seraphina, and their guards reached the underwater space, where Huan brought an advance team through the pink spring into the Gray Fog Space.
  • Velin and Kyle surveyed the barren Interlayer Space, and Velin asked Kyle to take him to see the floating island.
  • Velin and Kyle flew to the island and explored its lifeless terrain, where Kyle killed three Gray creatures that attacked Velin.
  • Velin extracted the creatures' Gray Crystals and recalled that consuming their flesh and blood caused death, then explored the island's central mountain and returned to the ground with Kyle.
