Chapters 1776–1800 Vol. 18 Read

Ch. 1776Lord of the Final Chapter of the Mourning Abyss

Jialan Ka became the protected lord of the 17,375th layer of the Abyss, while Kyle was sent to the Epic battlefield and fought Lamentos. Velin discovered Kyle was missing and rushed toward the Abyss Gate as the fallen Elf Empress entered the Abyss.

  • Jialan Ka’s Balrog form dissolved after the Sower of the End promised to protect his layer of the Abyss for ten thousand years, and the Abyssal Ring made him its immortal lord.
  • Lamentos, an incarnation of Necrofen Elexidra, entered the 17,375th layer through the Abyss Gate and found Vela Rion before arriving in Ilyria World.
  • Kyle faced Lamentos on the Boundless Sea and blocked his attack with the Guardian Law Domain before the two half-Epics began fighting.
  • The Abyss Gate’s consciousness detached itself in Dragon Hammer City, and the fallen Elf Empress entered the gateway, finding countless Demon corpses on the other side.
  • Velin found a soul-destroyed Legendary Succubus and learned from the Death Knight that Kyle had disappeared, so he flew toward the Abyss Gate battlefield.
  • Odor emerged from a crack in space and concluded that Kyle had been sent to the Epic battlefield, where he found five Legendary Demon corpses and one surviving Hill Giant.

Ch. 1777Abyssal Incarnation Lamentos Falls

Kyle fought and killed Abyssal Incarnation Lamentos in the Boundless Sea, gaining enough World Disk inscriptions to qualify for Continental Legend. He returned to Dragon Hammer City, where Velin asked Odor whether the Life Knight and Death Knight could bear the curse of time.

  • Odor sealed away the Mid-rank Legendary Demon corpses and planned to sell three of them for resources.
  • Kyle fought Abyssal Incarnation Lamentos while his borrowed power dwindled, and the Boundless Sea steadily eroded Lamentos's laws.
  • Kyle and Lamentos clashed in a final battle, and Kyle destroyed Lamentos after millions of exchanges.
  • The World Disk lit up to its two hundred and thirty-seventh inscription, qualifying Kyle to become a Continental Legend once his story spread.
  • Kyle left the Boundless Sea before his borrowed power vanished and returned to Dragon Hammer City, where Odor had waited with him.
  • Velin asked Odor if the Life Knight and Death Knight could bear the curse of time, and both knights silently accepted the choice.

Ch. 1778The Price of Violating Time's Rules

Odor redirected the Order Scale’s time curse from Kyle by linking their souls, but the curse left him unconscious and Kyle weakened. After the crisis, Velin and the assembled Legendaries dealt with the silent Abyss Gate, which Phemos shattered, though the corrupted land remained unpurified.

  • Odor expelled Kyle’s borrowed future power and used the Order Scale to make a white face devour the time curse, then collapsed as Velin caught him.
  • The river of time withdrew its chains, Kyle coughed up blood, and the Blood Knight explained that a greater curse had devoured the curse.
  • Three Legendaries from the Gray Vast Wilderness and two from the south arrived near the Abyss Gate, where Phemos stood between the opposing groups.
  • Velin asked Phemos to close the Abyss Gate, and Phemos shattered it with his great axe, severing the source of the Abyss aura.
  • Velin asked Morlega whether the contaminated earth could be purified, and the Dawn Priest said he lacked the power to do so.

Ch. 1779Heart of Steel Rock

After the Demonic Calamity, Velin received the Hill Giant’s Heart of Steel Rock, reported Kyle’s deeds to Ophielian and Morlega Leofric, and gathered the battlefield’s Demon corpses. He reunited with Aymond and waited for Xuemya and the others to emerge from their Demiplane.

  • The Hill Giant gave Velin the Heart of Steel Rock for Kyle and departed to return to his people.
  • Velin told Ophielian and Morlega Leofric how Kyle had slain a Demon Prince, and Ophielian promised to report it to the Pope.
  • Velin placed Kyle and his uncle in the Cecilia Demiplane, then collected seventy-six thousand Demon corpses from the battlefield.
  • Velin found Aymond resting, reassured him that Kyle and Master Odor were safe, and went with him to find Xuemya and the others.
  • Velin prepared a safe place near where Xuemya had disappeared and waited while Aymond practiced refining his fighting methods.

Ch. 1780Kyle's Decision

After three days in Xuemya’s Demiplane, Velin reunited with her and the North Wind Adventure Team, then returned to Qixing Territory. There, he and Xuemya watched Kyle receive the World Will’s qualification and take his first step on the path of Legend.

  • Velin sensed Xuemya’s opening in the Demiplane, pulled her out, and reunited with her after three days apart.
  • Xuemya brought Yuna, Lilia, Cainz, and Yali out of the Demiplane, and Yuna embraced Aymond.
  • Velin’s group returned to Qixing Territory, where Cecilia’s message led Velin and Xuemya to the Demiplane.
  • Odor explained that the golden patterns around Kyle marked the beginning of his path to Legend, and Velin chose to quietly witness the moment.
  • The golden patterns merged into Kyle’s soul, and he woke and sat up.

Ch. 1781The Price Odor Paid

Kyle apologized to Velin and Odor after using the Primordial Time Potion, then asked Odor what price he had paid to devour the Order Scale. Two months later, Velin’s ten-thousand-meter-class Floating Battleship successfully took flight, leaving him celebrating its launch with Aljerta.

  • Velin reassured Kyle that he supported him, and Kyle promised he would let Velin see his wedding to Lyanna.
  • Kyle apologized to Odor for wasting the Primordial Time Potion, and Odor praised him for killing a Demon Prince.
  • Kyle asked Odor about the cost of devouring the Order Scale, and Odor revealed that his pursuers would arrive fifty years sooner; Kyle hoped to help bear the price in the future.
  • Two months later, Kyle operated the Floating Battleship’s magic arrays and raised it to an altitude of three thousand five hundred meters.
  • Aljerta congratulated Velin aboard the successful ship, and Velin drank wine that evaporated as soon as it reached his throat.

Ch. 1782Spacetime Stasis Psionic Technology

Velin completed the Trial of Destiny and received a Golden Prism containing Spacetime Stasis Psionic Technology, then asked the Fate Star Being whether Odor could escape the curse of time. After the banquet, Velin visited Odor and began a chess game before preparing to discuss his reason for coming.

  • Aljerta offered Velin manpower from the Silver Dragon Burke Kingdom on Feneus's behalf, and Velin asked her to convey his thanks.
  • The Fate Star Being gave Velin a Golden Prism containing Spacetime Stasis Psionic Technology as his reward for completing the Trial of Destiny.
  • Velin asked whether Odor could break free from the curse of time, and the Fate Star Being said it would be difficult for Odor to do so alone.
  • Velin told Kyle about the reward and said he would explain the Fate Star Being's answer later.
  • After the banquet, Velin visited Odor with Xuemya, challenged him to chess, and lost before Odor asked what he had come to discuss.

Ch. 1783The Familiar Master Had Returned

Velin gave Odor the Golden Prism containing Spacetime Stasis Psionic Technology and asked about his past with the Fate Star Being. After returning to Star Moon Fort, Velin negotiated a half-month break from his duties and relaxed in Fountain Square, where Hilda and Xisina saw that their familiar master had returned.

  • Velin gave Odor the Golden Prism, and Odor praised the technology and suggested trading a copy to someone from another world.
  • Velin asked about Odor’s connection to the Fate Star Being, then told Odor the being had predicted Velin would help him in the future; Odor said Kyle had already agreed to help.
  • After Velin left, Odor reflected on the Fate Star Being’s prophecy as a star briefly shone in the night sky.
  • Velin returned to Star Moon Fort with Xuemya and persuaded her to handle his duties for half a month.
  • Velin woke at eleven thirty the next morning, flew to Fountain Square, and settled in to enjoy the sun.
  • Hilda and Xisina saw Velin relaxing in the square and recognized their familiar master had returned.

Ch. 1784Velin Wants to Slack Off

Velin gave Xuemya a Mid-rank Legendary Succubus corpse for her research, then returned to the burden of governing Star Moon Fort. After receiving news that the king planned to declare war on the Gray Vast Wilderness and discuss making him commander of the Third Command, Velin declined to go to the royal capital and tried to put off routine work.

  • Velin took Xuemya into Number Two Demiplane and showed her the Demon corpses, including a Mid-rank Legendary Succubus he had saved as a gift for her research.
  • At the beginning of March in 9791, Velin struggled with the stream of official documents that had accumulated since the handover of government affairs.
  • Xisina delivered an urgent message from Eagle Territory saying the king planned to declare war on the Gray Vast Wilderness the following August and the royal capital was considering Velin for commander of the Third Command.
  • Velin dictated a reply saying to proceed according to plan and that he would not go to the royal capital, then handled the day's official documents with Xisina.
  • When Belder sent another stack of documents, Velin dealt with the three urgent ones and declared that routine matters could wait until the day after tomorrow.
  • Hilda and Xisina sent the dispatched documents to the Star Moon Department and went to spar at the training grounds.

Ch. 1785Laikaot's Pain and Joy

Velin visited Star Prayer City to meet Laikaot, who was dealing with Melos’s challenge to fight and the Death Light Orb’s schemes. Velin and Laikaot reunited outside the theater, where Laikaot hinted that he still could not defeat Melos.

  • Velin took a memory light orb from a Magic Puppet and flew to Star Prayer City to find Laikaot.
  • Laikaot watched a performance with Melos, who demanded they fight that night and threatened to tie him up if he lost.
  • The Death Light Orb suggested Laikaot use a programmable-memory stasis orb to trick Melos, but Melos overheard and scolded them both.
  • Melos told Laikaot that Velin had arrived, and Laikaot rushed out to greet him.
  • Velin and Laikaot embraced, and Laikaot said he had been well except that he had never won a fight against Melos.

Ch. 1786Velin and Laikaot's Deal

Velin offered Laikaot the Spacetime Stasis Psionic Technology, and they agreed on a payment of nine World Origin Crystals and thirty newest-model starships. After Laikaot and Melos planned a date and prepared to leave, Velin sent them off with a token and reminded Laikaot to say goodbye to his father-in-law.

  • Velin brought Laikaot and Melos to the Cecilia Demiplane and showed Laikaot the Spacetime Stasis Psionic Technology.
  • Melos shared memories about the Fate Star Beings and the trial of fate, helping Laikaot understand the technology's value.
  • Laikaot offered nine World Origin Crystals and thirty starships for the technology, and Velin chose to wait for the newest models.
  • Laikaot told Velin he planned to take Melos to Love Lake, and Velin gave him an identification token in case they encountered trouble.
  • Velin reminded Laikaot to visit his father-in-law before leaving, then parted from the couple and wandered around the city.

Ch. 1787Brian and Rayat

After receiving news that Rayat had a newborn child, Velin set out for Ridge Territory with an honor guard and Shining Wine. Meanwhile, Brian advised Rayat on family ties and the coming war against the Graylight Wasteland, and Velin’s force of three hundred knights departed the next morning.

  • Velin learned from Hilda’s letter that Rayat had a child and ordered an honor guard and twenty crates of Shining Wine prepared for his visit.
  • Brian refused to take over Rayat’s duties, then explained that Velin would likely help Rayat’s son because of Brian’s close relationship with Velin.
  • Rayat told Brian that he planned to send Adrian with a battalion to fight in the Graylight Wasteland war, but Brian ordered him to keep Adrian behind and appoint Filuan instead.
  • Brian told Rayat to arrange a marriage between his sister and Adrian’s youngest son and to recommend Adrian to Velin for a command role in the war.
  • The next morning, Velin’s force of three hundred knights left Star Moon Fort, with Velin reading in the carriage while Xuemya studied experimental data.

Ch. 1788News of Third Uncle

Velin visited Brian at Ridge Castle and discussed the kingdom’s coming war against the Gray Vast Wilderness. He proposed placing the forces of several related families under Kavir’s command, then learned that Third Uncle Bamund had retired from the army and might have left the kingdom.

  • Velin arrived at Ridge Castle with Xuemya, greeted Brian, and joked with Rayat about drinking Shining Wine.
  • Velin met Brian’s children, and the family shared a meal and wine while discussing the approaching war.
  • Velin said he planned to send two battalions under Kavir, assisted by Haixiden, to fight in the war.
  • Rayat offered to send a Low-rank Gold Knight and more than six hundred soldiers under Kavir’s command.
  • Velin suggested inviting Alick and Cowell to combine their forces under Kavir, but said he would need Third Uncle to keep Kavir in line.
  • Brian told Velin that Bamund had retired from the kingdom’s army six years earlier, leaving Velin shocked and unsure where his uncle had gone.

Ch. 1789A Treasure Worth Twenty-Seven Million High-grade Magic Crystals

Velin learned that a lost Demiplane held three hundred Floating Battleships, a treasure that could erase his debts, then visited the troops organized under Qixing Territory. He praised their training and ordered Rayat to assemble them while asking to inspect the Logistics Camp.

  • Velin heard from Brian that a lost Demiplane beneath the Inner Sea held three hundred kilometer-class Floating Battleships and realized their sale could cover his debts.
  • Xuemya put the drunken Velin to bed behind a magical barrier, and he dreamed of commanding a vast fleet.
  • The next morning, Velin and Xuemya left for breakfast, where Velin spotted Rayat conducting morning training.
  • Velin, Xuemya, and Rayat inspected the troops at a camp north of Ridge Fortress, and Velin praised the soldiers as fit for combat.
  • Adrian welcomed the party at the camp, and Velin told Rayat to assemble the troops before asking to visit the Logistics Camp.

Ch. 1790Inspection of the Ridge Territory Army

Velin inspected Rayat’s 8,553 assembled troops, assessed their training and strength, and advised Rayat to keep command authority in his own hands. Afterward, Velin ordered the force reorganized into three camps and agreed to Rayat’s request to name his child.

  • Velin explained how much food the camp’s cauldrons provided and reminded Rayat to understand military supplies.
  • Rayat opened the inspection by reporting the camp’s troop numbers, then ordered the brigades to begin their drills.
  • Velin warned Rayat that only Rayat should issue orders to his troops and praised the army’s combat readiness after watching the drills.
  • Velin praised Adrian and told Rayat to organize the force into a combat camp, a second-line garrison camp, and a logistics camp.
  • Velin recognized that Rayat wanted him to name his child and agreed to do so.

Ch. 1791Law Inscription (Part 1)

Rayat named his son Oserion, and Velin departed Ridge Fortress while considering how to search for a lost Demiplane. In March 9792, Kyle began the Law Inscription trial to become a Continental Legend, fighting three legendary incarnations in the Outer Dimension.

  • Xuemya suggested the name Oserion for Rayat’s child, and Rayat agreed that Kmelia would teach him when he turned twelve.
  • Velin and his honor guard left Ridge Fortress, and Brian encouraged Rayat to govern Ridge Territory according to his own judgment.
  • Velin considered asking powerful figures to help find the lost Demiplane, then decided to wait for Kyle to emerge from seclusion.
  • After nearly twenty months of studying the Truth Law, Kyle summoned it and prepared to inscribe his True Name.
  • Morpheus Aurelius, Mecis, and Astraea Erebos appeared as Kyle’s opponents, and Kyle attacked them with the intent to defeat all three.
  • Astraea Erebos transformed into a Seraph and fought Kyle with Holy Flame Light Spears while the other two legends watched.

Ch. 1792Law Inscription (Part Two)

Kyle received gifts of insight from Astraea Erebos and the Lord of the Heart Prison, then failed Morpheus Aurelius’s spatial challenge. He reached the core of the Truth Law, where his memories and deeds began shaping a unique Legendary title before his True Name.

  • Astraea Erebos ended her fight with Kyle, gave him her insights, and returned to the Truth Law.
  • The Lord of the Heart Prison fought Kyle for five minutes, then gave him his insights into the Truth Law before vanishing.
  • Morpheus Aurelius challenged Kyle to cross spatial corridors in ten minutes, but Kyle covered only a third of the distance and failed.
  • Morpheus Aurelius advised Kyle to investigate his teacher’s secrets, then returned to the Truth Law.
  • The Truth Law revealed its core, and Kyle entered it, where scenes from his battles began shaping a Legendary title before his True Name.

Ch. 1793Wing of Holy Law

Kyle became a Continental Legend when his name and Wing of Holy Law were inscribed upon the Truth Law, and the Legends across the Ilia Kingdom witnessed his ascension. He promised to marry Lyanna in March the following year, and Velin established Holy Law Days to celebrate his achievement.

  • Kyle merged his name and Wing of Holy Law with the Truth Law, returned to the world, and appeared at Star Moon Fort as the Truth Law manifested over the Ilia Kingdom.
  • Velin and the kingdom’s Legends witnessed the manifestation and recognized Kyle’s rise to Continental Legend.
  • Kyle’s life level advanced, and he restrained his new power before speaking with Velin.
  • Kyle told Velin he would fulfill his promise in one year, and Velin set their wedding for March next year.
  • Xuemya remarked that Lyanna had finally received her answer, and Velin later declared March 27–31 Holy Law Days.

Ch. 1794Trying to Call My Name

Kyle searched the Xenops Subcontinent’s inland sea for the lost Demiplane and found its hidden entrance beneath a gigantic sleeping beast. Inside, he discovered a fleet of Floating Battleships and an inscription left by the last Keeper of Secrets of the fallen Zesita Kingdom.

  • Velin sent Kyle to search for the lost legendary Demiplane, while Kyle decided he might ask Duke Moravia to help push Velin into action.
  • Kyle told Lyanna that they would marry in a year and encouraged her to begin calling him by his name, allowing her to call him “Master” when they were alone.
  • Kyle traveled to the inland sea and searched for three months, clearing several pirate crews along the way.
  • Kyle sensed a Space Fluctuation beneath the sea and found its source near a five-thousand-meter-long sleeping beast.
  • Kyle spotted a tiny Flowing Light Passage on one of the beast’s scales and entered the Demiplane without waking it.
  • Kyle found three hundred kilometer-class Floating Battleships and read Oberon’s inscription warning that the Zesita Kingdom had fallen for violating a taboo and urging reverence for the unknown.

Ch. 1795Three Hundred Floating Battleships

Kyle discovered three hundred damaged Floating Battleships in the Demiplane, erased the Zesita Kingdom markings, and recorded their condition before seeking out the Demiplane Core. After capturing and contracting the Core, he left and asked Glaierd whether Celeste had returned; Glaierd said she had not and then continued tracking an Outer God's incarnation.

  • Kyle destroyed the inscription and sealed the Keeper of Secrets' bones, then erased the Zesita Kingdom markings from the three hundred Floating Battleships.
  • Kyle examined four Floating Battleships and found their systems, weapons, and puppets damaged, concluding that Master Odor would likely need to repair them.
  • Kyle opened a passage to the Demiplane's chaotic consciousness space, while Odor sensed trouble and fled to the Gray Mist Space to prepare ingredients for the Time Origin Potion.
  • Seven days later, Kyle captured and contracted the Heart of the Demiplane, then left the Demiplane and flew away from the still-sleeping giant beast.
  • Glaierd greeted Kyle and told him Celeste had not returned; after Kyle departed, Glaierd told a Divine Space presence that he had found traces of an Outer God's incarnation and would not kill it.

Ch. 1796Appointment of Kavir

Kyle returned with a demiplane holding three hundred defective Floating Battleships, leaving Velin to arrange their repair and seek help from his uncle-in-law. Later, Velin appointed Kavir to command nearly seven thousand soldiers in the Ilia Kingdom’s campaign against the Gray Vast Wilderness.

  • Kyle returned safely and told Velin he had encountered Saint Grald on the way.
  • Kyle showed Velin three hundred defective Floating Battleships in a demiplane, and Velin decided he would handle them and find his uncle-in-law.
  • On July 1st, 9792 of the Radiant Calendar, royal orders summoned nobles to gather troops for war.
  • Velin told Kavir that the campaign against the Gray Vast Wilderness would also serve the king’s purge of the nobility.
  • Velin appointed Kavir to command the 20th and 24th Battalions, with General Delad and Hebrew assisting him.
  • Kavir accepted Velin’s orders and prepared to lead the troops.

Ch. 1797Why Does Someone Always Knock When I'm Reading?

Velin promoted Kavir and prepared to visit Laila with Flora, but repeated interruptions kept him from reading his Adventure Storybook. Duke Moravia arrived at Star Moon Fort and confronted Velin about his comfortable life, while Velin insisted he cultivated every day.

  • Velin appointed Kavir border general of the Star Moon Department, placed the 20th and 24th Battalions under his temporary command, and gave him a Space Ring.
  • Flora invited Velin to visit Laila in Cadro Province the next day and asked him to bring Xuemya.
  • Kyle told Velin that Duke Moravia would visit that night, and Velin worried that his grandfather would catch him slacking off.
  • Duke Moravia walked with Tadius in Metal City, then flew to Star Moon Fort to see Velin.
  • Duke Moravia teased Velin about living comfortably, and Velin claimed he cultivated every day.

Ch. 1798Three Hundred Thousand Kilometer Route

Velin discussed plans with Duke Moravia to assemble and train an army of more than a million, then reviewed a six-array teleportation route spanning three hundred thousand kilometers. Velin agreed to handle the Hainas Mermaid Kingdom, and Duke Moravia finalized the route.

  • Duke Moravia asked Velin when and where he planned to assemble the troops, and Velin described a December-next-year mobilization, a year of training, and an island base.
  • Velin told Duke Moravia he had drafted a detailed implementation plan, then Xuemya stopped him from boasting and he praised his grandfather's command of puppets instead.
  • Duke Moravia showed the route map and described the islands and territories secured for the first five Teleportation Arrays, including land taken from vampires and granted to the White Mist Duchy.
  • Duke Moravia explained that the fifth array's endpoint and the sixth array's starting point lay in the Hainas Mermaid Kingdom, and Velin volunteered to handle it.
  • Duke Moravia linked the twelve nodes and completed the six-array route across three hundred thousand kilometers.

Ch. 1799Grandfather's Help

Velin discussed plans for six Teleportation Arrays with Duke Moravia, who offered him two Magic Crystal Mines to help repay his debt. After touring Velin’s territory together, Duke Moravia departed, leaving Velin grateful for his grandfather’s support.

  • Velin asked Duke Moravia to find or create a large island for the first Teleportation Array’s troop assembly point, and Duke Moravia agreed to fund the resources for all six arrays.
  • Duke Moravia revealed two Magic Crystal Mines and offered Velin half their yield to offset his debt of three million seven hundred and fifty thousand High-grade Magic Crystals.
  • Velin accepted the mine locations, thanked Duke Moravia, and later told Xuemya that he was the only one of his siblings able to ask their grandfather for help.
  • Velin and Kyle accompanied Duke Moravia on a half-month tour of Velin’s territory, where Duke Moravia praised Velin’s talent for governing.
  • Duke Moravia left Star Moon Fort to visit his sons, and Velin wished him safe travels.

Ch. 1800Ilia Kingdom's War Against the Graylight Wasteland

Velin saw Kavir off to the front and the Ilia Kingdom began its war against the Graylight Wasteland. Five months later, Velin persuaded Odor to repair three hundred Floating Battleships by threatening to reveal a secret from Odor’s diary.

  • Velin and Xuemya reflected on family and agreed to visit the Gray Mist Space the next day.
  • Velin sent Kavir, Hebrew, and General Delad with the force marching toward the border, then prepared for war.
  • Valient Silves declared war on the Graylight Wasteland, and more than three million Ilia Kingdom troops crossed into the buffer zone as monster armies mobilized.
  • Five months later, Velin asked the returning Odor to repair three hundred Floating Battleships.
  • Velin quoted Odor’s diary until Odor agreed to help and told him to return in three days.
