The power of a group was always astonishing.
Just three months ago, this place had suffered a bloody massacre, with shattered walls and corpses everywhere. Yet now, walking through Times Square, there was not the slightest trace of it. Only the numerous scaffolds erected around the intersection proved that everything from three months ago had not been an illusion.
This world was not as rich in resources as the One Piece World, so Lowett did not particularly care what he ate. Each of them had a hamburger in hand, along with a cup of iced sugary soda.
"It's hard to imagine that the same flavor has so few calories." Aka ruined the mood as he analyzed it.
This was his first time crossing worlds, so everything fascinated him.
"On the seas, this would never satisfy the daily needs of those strong people."
"That is why humans in this world are generally weak. Food is the most basic way for living beings to obtain nutrients, and the nutrition in food determines their strength. This is the inevitable result of humans adapting to their world. What is not the strongest is the best."
Agin took another bite of his hamburger, then raised his cola and drained it in one gulp.
"Fortunately, we no longer need to recover our bodies through such a primitive method. It's fine to try something new."
"Then let's make that our next stop."
Lowett said as he sipped his cola through a straw.
The two looked up. Not far ahead, a restaurant was open for business.
"We've walked this long and only found one upscale restaurant still open. New Yorkers really don't get it. Opening urgently at a time like this would make a fortune."
"Mm, perhaps mortals fear death too much and
