Zhao Xuan helped Heaven Dou and Star Luo rally sects against Spirit Hall, then fought off an assault on Yanbo City and helped the allied forces withdraw safely. Back in Heaven Dou City, he investigated the ruined City of Slaughter and faced an eight-headed Giant Snake.

• Zhao Xuan and Leimon ambushed Spirit Hall’s force near Yanmen Pass, where Zhao Xuan later fought Thousand Eyes Douluo, Thousand Jun Douluo, and Demon Subduing Douluo before escaping to Yanbo City.
• Zhao Xuan and Grandmaster arranged a rival Seven Great Sects assembly in Yanbo City, drawing dozens of sects, including Clear Sky Sect, while Spirit Hall prepared to disrupt it.
• Tang Xiaotian fought the Old Woman outside the city, and Spirit Hall’s Titled Douluos attacked during their battle as Zhao Xuan and the allied defenders fought to protect Yanbo City.
• Zhao Xuan fought Thousand Eyes Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo inside the Death Domain, escaped its effects, and helped drive Spirit Hall’s forces into retreat.
• Tang Xiaotian asked Zhao Xuan to accept Clear Sky Sect into the allied army, and Zhao Xuan welcomed the sect after learning Tang Hao remained gravely injured.
• Zhao Xuan supported withdrawing the allied forces from Yanbo City, then returned to Heaven Dou City and ordered the Tang Sect to punish spies and protect its secrets.
• Zhao Xuan asked Lou Gao to develop a firearm with a self-destruct mechanism, then went to the City of Slaughter and found its outer city devastated.
• Zhao Xuan discovered an eight-headed Giant Snake in the abyss beneath the ruined palace, dodged its lava fireballs, and fired a lightning arrow at it.

Zhao Xuan recovered from his battle with the Abyss Master, then joined the defense of Ling Yun Pass as Bibi Dong tested his strength. He later investigated the disasters around Sunset Forest and confronted the Sun God Bird, driving its giant flame form into the magma lake.

• Zhao Xuan escaped the Secret Realm of the Slaughter God, returned to Heaven Dou City, and told Flender and Zhao Wuji about the Beast God and the City of Slaughter.
• Zhao Xuan visited his parents in Flower Valley, where the Sacred Tree identified his opponent as the Abyss Master and sent him to heal in the Spring of Life.
• After half a year of recovery, Zhao Xuan learned that Spirit Hall was advancing and led Hua Ying, Mu Yuan, and Flower Valley’s fighters toward the war.
• At Ling Yun Pass, Zhao Xuan arrived as Bibi Dong attacked, restrained her charge, and fought her while Mu Yuan replenished the allied Titled Douluo.
• Bibi Dong unleashed a vast explosion, survived it, and ordered Spirit Hall’s forces to withdraw, leaving Zhao Xuan and his allies to return to Ling Yun Pass.
• After hearing of disasters in Sunset Forest, Zhao Xuan investigated a magma-filled abyss and discovered the Sun God Bird beneath the lava.
• Zhao Xuan and the Sun God Bird fought over the lava’s fire-element power, and Zhao Xuan used the World Cleansing White Lotus and a rule-infused Thunder Long Spear to scatter its giant flame form.

Zhao Xuan gathered Spirit Beasts to help the allied armies counterattack Spirit Hall, then faced Bibi Dong as the battle began. While the Shrek monsters returned to the continent, Zhao Xuan reunited with them and helped Tang Chen recover from his corruption.

• Zhao Xuan destroyed the altar beneath the lava lake, freeing a sealed divine sense, and the Fire God punished the Sun God Bird before carrying away the Rakshasa-tainted black gas.
• Zhao Xuan recruited Bear Lord and the Spirit Beasts for an assault on Spirit Hall, with rules against harming ordinary people, while Master and Zhao Xuan prepared the allied counterattack.
• The Heaven Dou and Spirit Hall forces clashed, and Zhao Xuan fought Bibi Dong as she revealed her Soul Devouring Spider Emperor form and unleashed powerful attacks.
• Zhao Xuan recovered from Bibi Dong's Eternal Wound with the World Cleansing White Lotus and spotted a Black Robe Figure absorbing death aura from the battlefield.
• Zhao Xuan and Lou Gao forged powerful Tang Sect Hidden Weapons, then Zhao Xuan traveled to Ten Thousand Ren Mountain and absorbed lightning from its thunderclouds.
• The Shrek monsters returned to the continent and learned that Spirit Hall controlled a third of it, while Hermione worried after hearing that Zhao Xuan had fought Bibi Dong.
• Tang San fought the King of Slaughter, and Zhao Xuan arrived as the King struck aside his lightning and regained his identity as Tang Chen.
• Zhao Xuan reunited with Hermione and helped Tang Chen identify and remove a remnant of the Fallen God's divine authority, while Tang Chen acknowledged the Asura power still within him.

Zhao Xuan and Tang Chen battled Spirit Hall and the Abyss Master while their allies pursued divine inheritances and forged a Divine Artifact. After Zhao Xuan broke through to Rank 90 and completed the God Slaying Spear, he entered the fight against Spirit Hall’s Titled Douluo.

• Zhao Xuan helped Tang Chen destroy part of his divine power, and Tang Chen agreed to accompany him and oppose Spirit Hall.
• Zhao Xuan and Tang Chen attacked Heaven Gate Pass, where Bibi Dong arrived with the Rakshasa Demon Scythe and fought Zhao Xuan until both were badly injured.
• Zhao Xuan arranged for Ma Hongjun and Hermione to begin the Fire God and Goddess of Wisdom inheritances, while the Heaven Dou alliance decided to take the initiative against Spirit Hall.
• Zhao Xuan, Tang Chen, and Tang San entered the Slaughter Secret Realm and defeated the Abyss Master, which transformed into a Demigod before they killed it.
• Zhao Xuan brought the Abyss Master’s spirit bones back to Ling Yun Pass, where Tang Chen and the Clear Sky Sect began forging them into the God Slaying Spear.
• Hu Liena sent more than thirty Spirit Hall Titled Douluo to attack the forging site as Zhao Xuan emerged from seclusion after reaching Rank 90.
• Zhao Xuan poured his blood over the assembled swords to complete the God Slaying Spear, then used it and Purple Gold lightning against the attacking Titled Douluo.
