Zhao Xuan survived Spirit Hall’s assault, traveled with Tang San and Tang Chen to Sea God Island, and helped Tang San defeat the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King. After returning to Ling Yun Pass, Zhao Xuan reunited with Hermione and faced the newly ascended Bibi Dong’s forces, leaving the confrontation poised for battle.

• Zhao Xuan broke free of Spirit Hall’s Angel God Array, fought the Golden Winged Great Peng and the God of Death, and survived while Tang Chen lost an arm and the Heaven Dou forces suffered casualties.
• Zhao Xuan, Tang San, and Tang Chen traveled to Sea God Island, where Zhao Xuan began the Sea God trials and steadily raised his Soul Power.
• Zhao Xuan and Tang San fought and killed the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, completing Zhao Xuan’s eighth trial and enabling Tang San to absorb its spirit ring and soul bone.
• Back at Ling Yun Pass, Zhao Xuan and Tang San met Ma Hongjun, who revealed his Fire God inheritance, and later Zhao Xuan reunited with Hermione after her own inheritance.
• Xue Ye died, Xue Beng took the throne, and Tang San told Zhao Xuan that his Soul Power and Divine Slaughter’s Domain had grown after absorbing the whale king’s remains.
• Bibi Dong emerged from the Rakshasa secret realm with divine power, and Zhao Xuan warned his allies that Qian Renxue and other concealed forces might also be involved.
• Elder Ling’s Spirit Hall forces attacked Ling Yun Pass, but Zhao Xuan’s illusion and a surprise strike turned the assault into an ambush by Chen Xin and the Heaven Dou allies.
• Zhao Xuan revealed himself and challenged the unseen Empress, who appeared behind the Spirit Hall Titled Douluos and called them trash.

As Spirit Hall and Heaven Dou went to war, Zhao Xuan completed his ascension and confronted the allied evil gods. He killed the God of Death and faced Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue while Tang San took on the Dark God and Plague God.

• Bibi Dong and Spirit Hall’s Titled Douluo attacked Zhao Xuan’s forces near Ling Yun Pass, but Tang San and the other inheritors helped drive them to retreat.
• A month later, Zhao Xuan and Tang San learned that the God of Death had caused mass deaths across the empires, and Zhao Xuan pursued him after he attacked Sacred Soul Village.
• The Asura Divine Sword left Tang Chen and reached Tang San, while the gods discussed Rakshasa’s schemes and the inheritors’ role in confronting his allies.
• Qian Renxue ascended as the Angel God and prepared Spirit Hall to march, while Tang San returned having inherited the Sea God’s Divine Seat.
• With Tang San and Qian Renxue fighting above Ling Yun Pass, Spirit Hall and Heaven Dou’s forces clashed as the God of Death fed on the battlefield’s death energy.
• Bibi Dong and the other evil gods attacked Zhao Xuan during his breakthrough, but he emerged as a god and trapped them inside his Void Illusion Realm.
• Zhao Xuan battled the evil gods with his lightning powers and Illusionary Bodies, then compressed the realm and killed the fleeing God of Death as it collapsed.
• Zhao Xuan stopped Tang San from attacking Bibi Dong, overwhelmed her Rakshasa Domain, and confronted her and Qian Renxue while Tang San engaged the Dark God and Plague God.
