Background
Xuandu was born among the Innate Human Race and named after the Xuandu Purple Mansion—Mount Daluo's Eight Sceneries Palace. After witnessing Li Er create the Classic of Morality, he sought the Dao at Mount Daluo and knelt outside the palace, determined to be accepted as a disciple. Li Er tested his resolve before accepting him, transmitting Grand Pure Immortal Qi and awakening Xuandu's natural Dao Body. 6
Li Er later sent Xuandu into the Primordial World when his cultivation stalled at peak Taiyi Golden Immortal. During this journey, Xuandu met Houtu, aided her in establishing the Six Paths Reincarnation, and received a share of its Qi of Merit. The merit elevated him to peak Grand Unity Golden Immortal and gave him an unusually perfect Dao Fruit. 10 11 12
At Kunlun Mountain, Xuandu represented Li Er in congratulating Yuanshi and Tongtian on their ascension. His subsequent victory over Randeng established him as the acknowledged foremost disciple of the Three Pure Ones. 13 14

He has absolute faith in Li Er's judgment and follows his master's arrangements even when their full purpose is unclear. This trust also informs his diplomatic approach, particularly in his dealings with Houtu, Ancestor Minghe, and the Dragon Clan. 12 55 100 115
