History

Early Primordial Era

The Primordial World was created through Pangu's Heaven-Opening. Pangu's death left behind the Three Pure Ones as manifestations of his soul, while Buzhou Mountain remained as his spine and housed the Pangu Imprint 22 86 134.

Its Heavenly Dao later became the dominant force over the world. Li Er eventually speculated—and the Qinglian Divine Demon supported—that this Heavenly Dao was connected to the surviving Three Thousand Chaos Demon Gods and sought to monopolize Pangu's newly evolved world 118.

Era of Saints and Great Tribulations

The world entered an era dominated by Saints, sects, and competing races. The Heavenly Origin Sect, Intercepting Sect, Western Three Sects, and Asura Sect were recognized as four major sects, while conflict between the Witch Clan and Demon Race intensified 11.

Buzhou Mountain became the final battlefield of the Witch-Demon Calamity. Li Er chose to preserve it rather than allow its collapse, protecting the Pangu Imprint from destruction 19.

When the Heavenly Dao commanded five Saints to erase Buzhou Mountain, Li Er opposed them. His resonance with Pangu's will allowed him to wield the Three Axes against Hongjun, damaging the Heavenly Dao and forcing it into an incomplete state 21 22.

Division of the Continents

Following the Investiture of the Gods Great Tribulation, tremors signaled the Earthly Star tribulation. Li Er instructed Zhen Yuanzi to use the Earthly Scroll and Mountain and River Brush to define the Four Great Continents, granting the world additional Destiny Qi 72 73.

Li Er established regulations for the new continental order and appointed Haotian to supervise the Earthly Immortal Realm, including apprehending Golden Immortals and stronger cultivators who disrupted its balance 73.

Zhongzhou was excluded from Zhen Yuanzi's original division. It was later confirmed as a fifth great continent located between the Heavenly Immortal Realm and Earthly Immortal Realm 79.

Conflict Between Li Er and the Heavenly Dao

Li Er identified the essence of the Primordial World as the interweaving of rules and Destiny. He concluded that annihilating the Heavenly Dao required seizing control of both 79.

The Heavenly Dao concealed itself within Buzhou Mountain, using the Pangu Imprint to mask its presence and recover. Li Er exposed its hiding place by splitting Buzhou Mountain in two with a single finger 86.

The Heavenly Dao then attempted to erase the Central Continent and its Quasi-Saints to preserve its authority. Li Er ultimately surpassed it in battle, while also defeating the Flame Demon God and driving the Darkness Demon God into hiding 89 92 95.

Rather than immediately destroy the Heavenly Dao's avatar, Li Er allowed it to enter slumber and began gradually severing its connections to the world by reshaping the Primordial World's structure 94.

Re-established Order

Li Er re-established the Three Realms and reincarnation after the Great Tribulation of the Hundred Schools of Thought. The reincarnation mark now guides all beings through rebirth, including cultivators and Quasi-Saints 102 103.

Houtu, previously bound to guard the Six Paths Reincarnation, was freed after establishing restrictions around it and departed to take part in later tribulations 103.

Central Continent

The Central Continent is the domain most directly shaped by Li Er. The Heavenly Dao's influence is weakened to its lowest point there, while Li Er can reshape heaven and earth with a thought 96.

Unlike the Four Great Continents, it retains abundant spiritual energy and supports the continued survival of races that should have declined under the original timeline, including the Witch Clan and Demon Race 96 101.
