"Father, Arjoy has failed." Gukur, Chief Librarian of the Alpha, spoke to Alpharius.

Alpharius wore a long robe and gave a soft laugh.

"We had already won before Nimrod arrived."

"We began preparing long before this war. We acted across every conflict zone, secretly sowing our seeds and carefully laying the groundwork for the victory that was bound to come."

"Nimrod's Legion is powerful and holds many secrets. It took us some time to uncover his weaknesses."

A sharp gleam flashed in Alpharius's eyes. "Now, we have taken root within his Legion."

"Their movements are under our control. Nimrod's mighty Legion has no secrets."

Alpharius recalled Omega's account of his meeting with Nimrod. He had refused the offer of becoming a Warmaster.

"Nimrod's ideas are too simple, and his sense of responsibility is too heavy."

"He cannot see the true threat. That is his weakness."

"His methods cannot win this war. His Legion will be worn down, weakened, and ultimately destroyed alongside him."

Spear in hand, Alpharius strode toward Cilonius.

"Victory is never decided when a war begins. We won years ago. The only question is what form that victory will take."

"I will give him an opportunity, let him see a future filled with hope."

"He once helped Omega, and he can understand our view of secrets."

"In that case, how may I serve you?" asked Kael Cilonius, Master of Torment.

"You will represent me and command the battle for Diamond Star." Alpharius stopped before Cilonius and stared into his eyes.

After growing from a Headhunter into a Master of Torment, Cilonius had become one of Father's favorite commanders alongside First Company Captain Inger Peck, Second Company Captain Mathias Her, and Zogg.

The blade of the Pale Spear sliced open his right little finger, then extended before Cilonius.
