Inside the Warmaster's temporary command chamber on Isstvan V, Horus Lupercal spoke.

"Omega has brought me news. Nimrod has seized Diamond Star, and the supply fleet I dispatched failed to bring us any supplies."

Nimrod had reacted far faster than he had anticipated. Not only had he lost the supplies, but also the Grand General Cannon that the Forge World had secretly built for him.

"If we are to win, we must secure a stable base of war, one that can provide us with equipment and all the resources we require."

As Horus spoke, he gestured to the Primarch's Attendants.

Maloghurst stepped out from the shadows, raised the Control Staff, and projected a glittering star map.

Fulgrim swept a glance over the rotating, radiant display and said with interest.

"The Colonid Sector."

"That's right." Horus nodded.

"Flamini has vigorously developed that region. Its productive capacity is no less than that of an Imperial sector. If Malcador and the others had not held it back, the Gothic Sector would already have been established."

"The Cyclops Cluster alone contains two Forge Worlds, nineteen advanced industrial worlds, and eighty-six basic industrial worlds."

Mortarion stared at the gleaming stars. "Nimrod will not simply allow his territory to be taken. He always repays a grudge."

"The Terran nobles call him the Blood King. It is a fitting title."

"Once we win, he will no longer be a threat." Horus clenched his talons.

"In truth, I look forward to settling matters with him."

"As for Colonid, there is only one Legion there. Perhaps Carium Gate can send one or two Legions as reinforcements, but they will still be far too weak.
