Horus Lupercal opened his eyes and looked up at the broad-winged great bird circling beneath the azure sky.

"I am Horus. If I am already dead, stop bothering me." He sprang up and charged into the depths of the forest.

The wolves howled around him, following Horus on all sides as they repeated the same question again and again. "Who are you?"

Horus ran wildly until he burst out of the woods.

He stopped abruptly. Above him was utter darkness, without a single star.

A pure white moon hung high in the heavens, its dazzling radiance falling upon him.
