The Sea God claims to have traveled across the oceans, conquered their races, and unified the seas over 1,001 years before ascending to the God Realm. He became a god independently through the Power of Faith, making him a pioneer in faith-based ascension. 196 214

Before ascending, he established his mortal-world inheritance on Sea God Island. The Sea God Statue retained a portion of his divine power and consciousness, while the Seven Sacred Pillars served as focal points for the island's protective array and trial system. 174 194 195

Over time, he restricted the spread of his faith to the seas and built a system in which divine trials granted God-Bestowed Soul Rings. The rewards also bound believers to his authority, as the rings could shatter when his divine power or their faith failed. 197 214

When Yu Xiaowei attempted to make the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud recognize him as its master, the Sea God's phantom appeared. Godzilla immediately killed the projection, beginning the conflict between Yu Xiaowei and the Sea God. 99

Sea God's Trial

The Sea God sensed Yu Xiaowei approaching Sea God Island and ordered his Sea Soul Beasts to escort him there. Yu Xiaowei received the nine-part Sea God's Trial, but Godzilla devoured the divine sense involved in the baptism and altered the resulting imprint. 168 169

Unable to cancel the trial, the enraged Sea God raised its difficulty to the maximum. He later sent another divine consciousness to kill Yu Xiaowei during the God-Bestowed Soul Ring absorption, only for Godzilla to consume it as well. 169 174

Destruction of Sea God Island's Inheritance

Yu Xiaowei returned to Sea God Island to steal its remaining divine power. He destroyed seven Sacred Pillars, crippled the Island Protection Array, and advanced on Sea God Hall. 194 195

Seeking to punish Sea God Island for abandoning him, Poseidon descended in his true body and attempted to drown the island with Azure Waves, Sea God, Endless Blue. Yu Xiaowei expelled the Sea God's influence from the surrounding sea, broke Uncertain Storm, and severely injured Poseidon with Crimson Lotus Mode and the Super Spiral Heat Ray. 215 216
