History

Foundation and early expansion

Sui Yang accumulated capital in the American West before purchasing an 80-acre plot outside Seattle for a cotton plantation. Arthur Morgan became the core of the security team established to protect Atlas assets and support the company's expansion. This force later developed into the Atlas Response Service (ARS). 1 9

Atlas entered the arms industry through comparatively affordable individual combat equipment and domestic and foreign contracts. It also expanded into consumer goods, processing farm products into health supplements and using aggressive theater advertising campaigns to build public recognition. 2

By the 1960s, Atlas held a controlling interest in a telecommunications company and invested across rail, automotive, and aviation sectors. Spatial-gate expansion

The opening of the first spatial gate allowed Atlas to acquire data, samples, and technology from other universes.
