Background / History

Liu Ma was formerly associated with Stellaris and held the No. 35 ranking. By the time he reunited with Chen Kong in an abandoned factory, he had become a key talent of a new company and challenged Chen Kong for the Gilded Mechanical Bible. He also shared knowledge about Star Core awakening. 112

He later gave Chen Kong the Mechanical Bible and a secret Star Core Awakening file that Caroline had sent three years earlier. When the Hidden Star Society's Andromeda attacked, Liu Ma attempted to protect Chen Kong despite the overwhelming difference in strength. 115

Following his defeat by Shui Mo, Liu Ma confronted the limits of his prior beliefs about the outside world. Yu Qianxia, head of the Qianxia Group, criticized his weakness but recognized his potential and took him, alongside Chen Kong, into training. 141

Liu Ma revealed that he had previously struggled with debt to the Prosperity Martial Group; Yu Qianxia bailed him out, leaving him deeply grateful to her. 340

Liu Ma met Chen Kong beneath an abandoned factory and proposed a duel for the Gilded Mechanical Bible. Although Chen Kong defeated him through the expanded application of Presence Erasure, Liu Ma later honored the arrangement by giving him the book and Caroline's secret file. 112 114 115

During Andromeda's attack, Liu Ma was injured while attempting to protect Chen Kong and Vivian. He remained with the group in Rust Iron District, where he defended Vivian and drove Blood Skull lieutenant Cicero out of the Rust Nail Bar. 115 121 122

Steam Capital Defeat and Qianxia Training

Liu Ma joined Chen Kong and Vivian in opposing Shui Mo, only for the three to be decisively defeated. The experience humbled him and motivated him to train under Yu Qianxia. 139 140 141

Yu Qianxia's regimen focused on fine control: breaking Black Obsidian Rock while keeping an egg intact. Liu Ma passed by applying the Golden Demon Bull and Netherworld Warhorse in a controlled manner, earning the chance to learn a Yu Clan martial skill. 148 149 150

Conflict with Tiandao and Yu Chen

When Yu Chen betrayed the Fifth Squad to aid Vivian, Liu Ma refused to interfere in the duel. He later intervened when Tiandao moved to strike Yu Chen, taking the attack himself, breaking free of Star Energy confinement, and helping Yu Chen flee. 158 160
