Astonishing Spoils

Five days had passed since the demons in Kukull Basin had poured out in full force and the great battle had erupted.

Roland had also arrived after Reff led the army to capture Blood Hell City.

In a spacious, dim conference room filled with demonic architectural style, the upper ranks of the Sacred Co-Prosperity Kingdom had gathered once more.

At this moment, nearly everyone present wore broad, excited grins, their mouths stretched so wide they were practically blooming with smiles.

Roland, seated high at the head of the table, swept his gaze around the room and snorted irritably.

"Alredo, you're part of the kingdom's upper ranks now. Watch yourself—your mouth is about to split all the way to the back of your head."

"Hehe, Your Majesty, it's not that I can't control myself. The gains from this campaign are simply too enormous," Alredo replied excitedly.

Roland was not surprised. Blood Hell City had been the main city of six demon legions and had originally stored strategic logistical supplies for millions of demons. Later, it had also taken in part of the supplies from the main cities of Despair and Withered Bones. The sheer quantity of materials within could only be described as staggering.

At that thought, a trace of anticipation appeared in Roland's eyes. He smiled and said,

"Then tell me, just how great were the gains this time to get you so worked up?"

Upon hearing that, Alredo hurriedly turned his gaze toward Reff. Excited as he was, he certainly could not steal Reff's thunder.

Not only was Reff his direct superior, but he had also been the commander of this battle. Reporting the inventory was not Alredo's place.

After giving Alredo an approving look, Reff cleared his throat and reported to Roland in an excited tone.
