Huang Shaojie and Xiang Qingyang led Great Chu’s campaigns against Japanese and Indian invasions while Emperor Xuande’s failing health intensified the succession struggle. After annihilating the Japanese armies and helping Xiang Qingyang defeat India’s forces at Jiuzhen, Huang Shaojie sailed toward Japan as Xiang advanced to reclaim Annam.

• Huang Shaojie married Xiang Qingyang, then left to lead Great Chu’s campaign against the Japanese as she prepared to command an army against India.
• Xiang Qingyang marched toward Annam with four hundred thousand troops, Dongfang Bubai, and members of the Divine Moon Cult and Seven Peaks Sword Sect, while Huang Shaojie headed to Zhejiang.
• Huang Shaojie defeated Funamura Shunsuke at Hangzhou and Fujita Taiwa at Taizhou, then killed Yagyu Muneyoshi and annihilated the Japanese invasion force.
• Xuan Wuji seized Western Shu, Emperor Xuande appointed Prince Qi Crown Prince, and Prince Ning began plotting to claim the throne amid the worsening succession crisis.
• Xiang Qingyang reached Annam and learned from Ye Chen that India had captured four commanderies and reduced Annam’s defenders to fewer than one hundred thousand.
• At Leprosy Ridge, Dongfang Bubai killed Mohan and Jagadish as Chu forces and their allies ambushed the pursuing India Army.
• Xiang Qingyang celebrated victory at Jiuzhen and marched toward Annam’s former capital, while Huang Shaojie sailed from Taizhou toward Japan aboard captured tower ships.

Huang Shaojie conquered Japan and returned to find Prince Ning had taken the throne after Xiang Hu’s coup and defeat. As Huang Shaojie challenged the new ruler, he left for home to visit his parents while Xiang Chen met with Xiao Qiuyue.

• Huang Shaojie crossed the sea, destroyed the Japanese forces, and captured Kyoto after defeating Miyamoto Hōzō.
• Huang Shaojie exposed Asō Ukyō’s disguise, forced the Japanese Emperor and ministers to submit, and then destroyed Japan’s four islands with a supervolcano eruption and tsunami.
• Prince Han’s coup killed Crown Prince Xiang Hong and Emperor Xuande, while Prince Ning advanced on the capital to punish Xiang Hu.
• Xiang Hu’s forces collapsed before Prince Ning’s demonic martial art, and Xiang Hu hanged himself as Xiang Chen took the throne.
• Xiang Qingyang and Huang Shaojie reunited after she recovered Annam and he returned from Japan, and Huang Shaojie agreed to campaign against Prince Ning unless he abdicated.
• Huang Shaojie and Xiang Qingyang camped outside Chang’an, where Zhuge Qingyun tried to negotiate as Xiang Qingyang demanded answers about her family’s deaths.
• Huang Shaojie told Zhuge Qingyun to demand Prince Ning’s abdication, then left to visit his parents after Tang Feng warned that they could be seized.
• Xiang Chen refused Azure Dragon’s proposal to take Huang Shaojie’s parents hostage and visited Xiao Qiuyue, who demanded that he unseal her acupoints.

Huang Shaojie helped Xiang Qingyang claim the throne, defeated Persia, and married six women. His wedding was interrupted by Indra, and their fight moved to India, where Indra’s attacks set Rona City ablaze.

• Huang Shaojie reunited with Xiao Qiuyue, supported Xiang Qingyang’s enthronement, and became Great Chu’s Imperial Lord.
• After Persia invaded and captured Jiayu Pass, Huang Shaojie destroyed its army, forced King Charles to surrender, and brought Persia under Great Chu’s rule.
• Huang Shaojie married Xiao Qiuyue, Dongfang Bubai, Nangong Feixue, Vermilion Bird, Meilisi, and Xiao He, but Indra arrived and challenged him.
• Indra revealed he was Xu Fu, who had founded Japan before ascending to the Spirit Realm, and sought revenge for Huang Shaojie’s destruction of Japan.
• Huang Shaojie fought Indra, learned that the Heavenly Dao had sealed Indra’s cultivation above the Golden Core Realm, and fled with him away from Chang’an.
• Huang Shaojie led Indra to Rona City in India, where Indra’s spells and Palm Thunder destroyed buildings, started fires, and killed thousands of soldiers.

Huang Shaojie conquered India, started a family, and survived a succession of deadly lightning tribulations that carried him from the Mortal Realm to the Spirit Realm. After rescuing Liu Yiyi and joining the Ascension Gate as a deacon, he began learning its combat arts.

• Huang Shaojie defeated Indra, forced the King of India to submit to Great Chu, and returned to Chang'an, where he reunited with his family and married his six brides.
• Huang Shaojie advanced through the Foundation Establishment and Golden Core realms as Xiang Qingyang and Xiao Qiuyue became pregnant and gave birth to Huang Shang and Huang Yu.
• After reaching the Golden Core Realm's great perfection, Huang Shaojie faced a series of increasingly powerful lightning tribulations, surviving each strike as the system transformed his constitution and body.
• Huang Shaojie completed the Mortal Realm tribulations and ascended to the Spirit Realm, where he found Liu Yiyi under attack by the Heavenly Net Sect and killed Elder Sun.
• Huang Shaojie escorted Liu Yiyi to the Ascension Gate, where Liu Shengjie freed her and learned Huang Shaojie had rescued her and defeated the attackers.
• Huang Shaojie joined the Ascension Gate as an External Affairs Hall deacon, accepted a dilapidated residence, and demonstrated his remarkable ability to absorb Spirit Stones.
• Liu Yiyi took Huang Shaojie to the Scripture Repository, where he chose the Palm Thunder manual and registered it under her name.
