Before becoming Pope, Bibi Dong lived in the palace reserved for Spirit Hall's Holy Sons and Saintesses. Her past included abandonment by Yu Xiaogang and sexual assault by Qian Xunji. Seeing Qian Renxue reminded her of that trauma, contributing to her refusal to acknowledge her daughter openly 18 23 31.

Bibi Dong secretly obtained the Rakshasa God's inheritance. Its first trial required her to kill Qian Xunji; afterward, an urge to destroy Spirit Hall continued to grow within her. She initially tolerated the inheritance's psychological effects because she believed attaining godhood would resolve them 32 270.

Recruiting Luo Ling

For years, Bibi Dong ordered Chrysanthemum Douluo to investigate Yu Xiaogang's whereabouts. Reports that he had cultivated an Evil Skill and been crippled prompted her to leave Spirit City for Notting City 5.

During the journey, she noticed Luo Ling's unusual soul-based Martial Soul and later observed him in the Soul Hunting Forest. She exposed his Twin Martial Souls and self-performed Martial Soul Fusion, then recruited him as her disciple. Breaking with Yu Xiaogang

Later, Bibi Dong considered replacing her planned direct attack on the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan with Luo Ling's proposal to expose its connection to Evil Skills. When enemy plans changed, she convened the elders to redraw Spirit Hall's operation. Following the resulting clash, she compensated the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect with recovered Soul Bones 250 251 259 265.

Spirit Hall's subsequent campaign destroyed the Clear Sky Sect, although Tang Hao's escape left Bibi Dong dissatisfied with the outcome 275.

Xiao Wu and Ah Rou

Xiao Wu initially believed that Bibi Dong had killed her mother, Ah Rou. Bibi Dong instead explained that Ah Rou had sacrificed herself to save both Xiao Wu and Bibi Dong from a powerful beast. She had preserved Ah Rou's soul within herself and allowed mother and daughter to reunite 203 204.
