Background / History
Tang San is the son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin. His body belongs to Ah Yin's child, but Ah Yin concludes that the soul within it came from another world after hearing him refer to the Tang Sect and his former world. This revelation causes her to reject him when they meet at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. 127 136
He possesses Twin Martial Souls: Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. Yu Xiaogang accepts him as a disciple because of this talent and intends to use Tang San's potential to restore his own reputation. Tang San, in turn, becomes fiercely loyal to Yu Xiaogang and regards him as family after six years together. 16 82
Luo Ling repeatedly exposes and counters Tang San's abilities, becoming the central object of Tang San's fear, envy, and hatred. Following defeats at Luo Ling's hands, Tang San abandons restraint in pursuit of strength, uses corpse-based sacrifice methods, and eventually devours the soul power and life force of unconscious teammates during the finals. 72 84 148 197
After his Clear Sky Hammer is damaged by Luo Ling's Soul Scythe, Tang Hao attempts to awaken Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. The Blue Silver King refuses to recognize Tang San, believing the Blue Silver Emperor has already awakened elsewhere. 198 207
Tang San later completes Hell Road, resists the Blood Sea's slaughter aura, and is selected by the Asura God as a successor. His Clear Sky Hammer is restored through killing intent, and he obtains the Slaughter God's Domain. 231 232
Appearance
Tang San's appearance changes markedly after his path through the City of Slaughter and subsequent injuries.
- Eight dark-purple spider legs can extend from his back as the Eight Spider Lances. 82
- His Blue Silver Grass develops pronounced red patterns after the Blood Devil Ritual. 156
- His Clear Sky Hammer becomes blood-red and carries a strong murderous aura after its restoration. 231 233
- After being crippled and later returning to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, he has long, unkempt hair and emits a terrifying murderous aura. 240 248
Personality
Tang San is proud of his Tang Sect inheritance, Hidden Weapons, Twin Martial Souls, and status as a transmigrator. He reacts strongly when his Hidden Weapons are dismissed as underhanded and becomes envious when the Mystic Mage's Raven Feathers surpass what his own weapons can achieve. 66 72 114
He is deeply devoted to Yu Xiaogang, readily defending him against accusations. However, this loyalty becomes intertwined with obsession after Luo Ling repeatedly defeats him. Tang San views Luo Ling as an “Inner Demon” and becomes willing to sacrifice long-term potential, corpses, prisoners, and eventually his own allies' vitality to obtain victory. 16 82 148 197
Despite his ruthlessness, he remains conflicted about Tang Hao. Tang Hao's kindness and willingness to support him make Tang San hesitate over a divine trial that requires him to kill his father. 309

Story Role / Major Arcs
Early Shrek Period
Tang San enters Notting Academy under Yu Xiaogang's guidance and publicly reveals Blue Silver Grass with Innate Full Soul Power. When Wang Sheng accuses Yu Xiaogang and Tang San of practicing evil skills, Tang San restrains him with Blue Silver Entanglement and attempts to cripple him with a Hidden Weapon. 16 17
External Soul Bone and Rivalry with Luo Ling
Tang San obtains the Eight Spider Lances after the Man-Faced Demon Spider hunt. His spar with Luo Ling ends in humiliation: his Blue Silver Grass, parasitic seeds, Spider Web Restraint, and movement techniques are all countered, and most of his spider lances are cut off. 82 84
He discovers that the lances can absorb corpses to regenerate and raise his Soul Power, then conceals this ability after Yu Xiaogang warns him of the consequences. 85 86
Blood Devil Ritual and Tournament
Driven by fear of Luo Ling, Tang San and Yu Xiaogang use corpses and plan to use prisoners as sacrificial fuel for the Blood Devil Ritual. Tang San reaches Soul King, unveils five ten-thousand-year rings on the Clear Sky Hammer, and defeats Godwind Academy. 148 181 189 190
During the finals against Luo Ling, Tang San exhausts his conventional methods and devours his unconscious teammates to reach Soul Saint. His Clear Sky Hammer True Body is still defeated when Luo Ling's Soul Scythe damages the hammer itself. 196 197 198
Hell Road and Divine Inheritance
Following the loss of his Clear Sky Hammer, Tang San attempts a Blue Silver Emperor awakening but is rejected by the Blue Silver King. He then enters the City of Slaughter, completes Hell Road, gains the Slaughter God's Domain, restores his hammer, and becomes the Asura God's successor. 207 230 231 232
Clear Sky Sect and Later Divine Tests
After a later confrontation with Luo Ling, Tang San is crippled and brought toward the Clear Sky Sect. He eventually reunites with former allies, receives a God-bestowed seventh soul ring through divine tests, and is tasked with killing Tang Hao after the latter inherits Rakshasa God's power. 240 248 301 310
