Dongfang Xuan chose the Star Luo Empire as his first destination after leaving Sacred Soul Village at age four, hoping to avoid the unrest surrounding Heaven Dou. The cost of crossing the border exhausted his funds before he reached Star Luo Imperial City. 1

In Star Luo Imperial City, Dongfang used business proposals and recipe-sharing to partner with small merchants. His standard arrangement gave the merchant 60% of profits and required them to allocate a tenth toward employing unemployed civilians. 1

Within a year, the ventures made Dongfang wealthy and created a citywide legend about an unidentified young business genius. Although citizens recognized him through impression-based portraits, his deliberate discretion kept his name and origins unknown. 1

The Dai and Zhu families learned of the prodigy and attempted to locate him. Dongfang was eventually discovered by Zhu family members posing as merchants, then brought into the Zhu household; the family later kept his identity secret rather than turn him over to the Dai family. 1
