Background / History

The Zhu Family became aware of Dongfang Xuan after his business partnerships made him an anonymous prodigy in Star Luo Imperial City. Although he kept a low profile, reports of his success reached both the Dai and Zhu families. 1

Dongfang Xuan was eventually discovered by a Zhu Family member posing as a small merchant and brought into the family residence. Fearing that the family might surrender him to the Star Luo Dai Family, he spent roughly half a year earning the household’s favor. The family ultimately kept his identity and circumstances secret. 1

Within the family, Zhu Zhuqing and Zhu Zhuyun initially treated Dongfang Xuan coldly but later became close enough to speak openly with him. Before departing for Spirit Hall, Dongfang Xuan vowed that he would one day gain the strength to break the shackles binding the sisters. 1
