"Dumbledore wouldn't let you tell me too much?"
Harry stared at Hagrid, speaking slowly.
"Why? I was the one who told him everything, wasn't I? Did he ever consider that I might not enjoy watching my best friends take the Killing Curse right in front of me, even if they didn't die in the end? Did he consider that I don't like seeing someone get blown apart by dozens of Cruciatus Curses? Did he consider that Barty Crouch and his son turning on each other wasn't some wonderful show to me?"
Harry did not realize that he had already risen from his seat and was shouting furiously at Hagrid.
"This isn't what Dumbledore wanted to see either, Harry."
Hagrid did not blame Harry for his rudeness at all. In fact, the moment he had seen them, he had known that all three youngsters were troubled.
"He didn't expect it."
Hagrid tried to explain on Dumbledore's behalf.
"He didn't expect any of this to happen."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that."
Harry's cold words startled both Ron and Hermione. He had not told them that Barty Crouch Jr. was already finished, killed by Professor Breen. And the fact that Professor Breen had appeared at the resurrection ritual suggested many "interesting" things.
Hagrid's face fell as he silently blamed himself for letting something slip again. Since he had expected Harry and the other two to be deeply shaken, he should have realized that they—Harry especially—would be particularly sensitive now.
"He didn't want to tell you too much because he doesn't think you have no right to know these things, Harry—"
Hagrid said worriedly.
