Planets... orbiting?
Andy: "..."
Looking at the old man before him, his face full of indignation, Andy was first speechless, then openly skeptical.
Are you taking me for an idiot? Andy considered himself reasonably capable. Since the Department of Mysteries had foreseen his arrival, they could not possibly have sent an Unspeakable who studied planetary orbits to receive him.
Weren't they worried he would cause trouble? Even setting that aside, Andy studied matters of the mind. Since the Unspeakables had taken the initiative to reveal themselves, they should at least have sent someone in a relevant field to receive him. Planetary orbits?
What the hell was that?
After a moment of silence, Andy took the initiative to ask, "What are we doing next?"
In Andy's view, since the Unspeakables had appeared, they must have made some arrangements.
For example, showing him around the Department of Mysteries.
Or perhaps offering him some guidance in magic.
Since that was the case, Andy intended to first see what they had arranged, then adapt as the situation demanded and search for what he wanted.
"You should go back," the old man said.
Andy: "..."
"What do you mean?" Andy's expression darkened.
"Do you know why we are called Unspeakables?"
The old man sighed. "Unless you join us, you will never learn the Department of Mysteries' true secrets."
Andy fell silent at that.
Trying to pry secrets from an Unspeakable truly was impossible.
It was not a matter of whether they wanted to speak.
It was magic!
Magic prevented them from revealing the secrets here.
"Will you die?" Andy asked.
The old man's face darkened.
"Ahem!"
Andy coughed lightly, rubbing his nose in embarrassment before continuing, "Can I explore this place?"
"You have already explored it many times," the old man said.
"I've become stronger."
