Background / History

Redfield was imprisoned in Level 6 of Impel Down, Infinite Hell, alongside other exceptionally dangerous pirates. During Blackbeard's prison break, Hades provoked both Redfield and Douglas Bullet into releasing powerful Conqueror's Haki, creating a major distraction for the escape 388.

He later arrived at Marineford with Bullet aboard a massive steel warship. Rather than seeking an immediate battle with Bullet, he was interested in the gathering of old-era powerhouses and the conflict unfolding at the Summit War 401.

At Marineford, Redfield spoke with Austin about their respective forms of Observation Haki. He recognized that Austin could see farther into the future, while Austin identified Redfield's talent as an Observation Haki that reads the human heart 402. Redfield departed after the war's conclusion 419.

He is neither reckless nor easily drawn into pointless fights; when Bullet sought to challenge him, Redfield instead focused on the greater conflict at Marineford 401.
