"Why..." Thor stood atop the remnants of his body, blood continuously bursting from his aged yet powerful muscles. White hair, stained with blood, hung over his cheeks, and beneath the folds of his wrinkled face were eyes so clouded and blurred that he was on the verge of passing out.
He wanted to ask why He-El was so powerful.
Thor already felt that he had surpassed his father, Odin, the King of the Gods, yet he still had no ability whatsoever to resist He-El.
Every strike from He-El seemed to hit deep within his body, inflicting devastating wounds that left him unable to move.
He was clearly already this powerful.
If Thor had possessed his current strength when He-El had first gained control of the Reality Stone and fought Odin in Asgard, he truly could have caused He-El considerable trouble. Perhaps He-El might even have failed to take the Reality Stone away.
But now that He-El had fully prepared himself, no one could contend with him—not even Thor, whose lifespan surpassed that of Odin, the King of the Gods.
During his preparations, He-El had also conducted deep research into and gained a thorough understanding of Asgardian bloodlines.
He-El himself was Krypton's greatest creation. He understood Kryptonian knowledge and manipulation of genes inside and out. Though he had not fully deciphered the Asgardian bloodline due to time constraints, how could he possibly have failed to guard against certain critical and important genetic abilities?
It was absolutely impossible for a temporary burst of power like Thor's to defeat He-El.
"There is no why. You simply did not prepare enough." He-El's demon-god-like armored figure descended from the sky and said indifferently, "You can still live for a while. Enjoy the time you have left."
Unwilling to accept it, Thor gritted his teeth and
