Bulma drove her old green car westward.

He-El, Goku, and Yamcha ran not far behind Bulma's car. Taking Yamcha's pace into consideration, He-El and Goku did not run very fast.

Yamcha gritted his teeth and forced himself to keep running, drenched in sweat. He knew that He-El and Goku had slowed down for his sake. He could not help but resent his own weakness. They even had to yield to him while running. Determination surged within him. He had to catch up to them—at the very least, he had to keep up with their pace.

The group ran alongside Bulma's green car. Puar, who had been sitting in the car, flew away from it and headed toward them. He flew up before He-El and said:

"Senior He-El, Miss Bulma says the car is running low on fuel. She plans to refuel at a village up ahead."

With his small hands politely folded over his stomach, Puar reported to He-El.

"I understand. Thank you, Puar." He-El nodded at Puar, then turned to encourage Goku and Yamcha. "Hang in there, everyone. Don't let your rhythm slip. We'll get some proper rest at the next village."

"Okay." Goku's voice was firm and powerful, and he remained full of energy.

"Mm!" Yamcha was struggling, soaked through with sweat. His rhythm had become somewhat disordered, and he was nearly at his limit. But after He-El encouraged him and he learned they could rest at the village ahead, he became more alert. Hope for perseverance flowed up from deep within his will.
