Bulma drove the green car into an Arabian-style village town. He-El, Goku, and Yamcha arrived shortly after on foot and entered the town.
He-El and Goku were neither out of breath nor tired. Only Goku had broken a slight sweat.
Yamcha's clothes were completely soaked through with sweat.
"Keep up a slow pace. Maintain the breathing and heart rhythm I taught you. After a while, you'll gradually develop Ki," He-El reminded Yamcha.
Yamcha nodded without speaking. Following He-El's teachings, he maintained his breathing and heart rhythm. He began to feel his heart beating at a steady frequency, his blood flowing with a warm sensation that spread through his body, making it seem as though his strength would never run out, as though a thread of strength would always persist.
After reminding Yamcha, He-El paid him no further attention and headed toward the gas station along Bulma's route with Goku and Yamcha.
People kept peeking out at He-El and the others, clearly wary of these outsiders. The entire town felt like it was on high alert.
"Here, here! You stay here and watch the car while it gets gas. I'm going with He-El to buy some Hoi-Poi Capsules." When Bulma saw He-El, Goku, and Yamcha approaching, she happily waved them over. She had Goku, Yamcha, and Puar watch the car, then pulled He-El toward the Hoi-Poi Capsule shop.
"Goku, Yamcha, stay alert. There's something strange about this town."
He-El gave them a reminder over his shoulder. It was nothing major, and Goku could handle it, so he did not stop Bulma from pulling him along. He also wanted to buy some daily necessities and learn more about the remarkable Hoi-Poi Capsules.
"Okay." Goku tilted his head as he answered, standing guard beside the car.
"Is there danger?" Yamcha maintained his breathing
