The forest was silent, and Dr. Gero's laboratory, concealed beneath turf, was utterly quiet.

"I can't sense any Ki. Were we too late?" Using the Ki-sensing He-El had taught him, Yamcha could detect the Ki within any living being, yet he could not sense any life inside Dr. Gero's laboratory hidden beneath the turf before them.

There was no one there.

"Did he run away that quickly?" Krillin looked around but found no living creatures, only a dome-shaped structure hidden beneath a layer of turf.

"Maybe Commander Red notified him, and he fled right away." He-El said casually. He truly had not expected Dr. Gero to leave his own laboratory.

Or perhaps Dr. Gero had another laboratory? Maybe this one was merely for dealing with Commander Red and Black?

"I'll take a look." Yamcha leaped to the entrance of Dr. Gero's laboratory. Looking at the facility covered in green turf, he pressed both hands against it and grunted, but failed to push the door open. All he did was make it tremble, sending stone dust trickling from the cracks and leaving two five-fingered handprints in the turf.

"What a solid door." Yamcha lowered his hands, somewhat surprised.

Yamcha's current battle power was far from weak, at least eighty points. Though he could not compare to Goku or Master Roshi, he was still a first-rate martial artist on Earth, possessed of immense strength.

He had not managed to push open Dr. Gero's laboratory door. Though he had not used his full strength, it was enough to prove just how thick the door was.

"What incredible steel alloy. Is this some kind of alloy from a new planet?" Krillin approached the door and brushed away the green turf with his hand, revealing an alloy door polished enough to serve as a mirror.
