The night was vast and dark. Black clouds spun into a vortex as though they were about to crush the earth beneath them. Thunder rumbled, flashing the world a ghastly white.

A particle kinetic-energy beam half a meter in diameter cut through the night, shooting from the ground toward the clouds overhead as if it were tearing apart the dark vault of the sky.

He-El directly blasted Loki into the storm clouds with the particle kinetic-energy beam.

Through satellites and the telescopic magnifier on Atomic Armor No. 2, He-El tracked Loki. Loki's figure appeared in the projection across his retina. He saw Loki continuously channeling mental energy from the Mind Scepter to withstand the particle kinetic-energy beam, getting blasted more than eighteen kilometers away by the beam before plunging into the nearby clouds.

The result of the attack was far from ideal.

Of the six Infinity Stones in the universe, every one of them represented almost limitless power.

The Mind Stone likewise possessed nearly infinite mental energy.

The Mind Scepter limited the Mind Stone's maximum output power, but it did not limit the amount of energy it could output.

In other words, as long as it maintained a certain level of power, it could almost endlessly output mental energy below that level.

The reason it was only almost was that any person or god controlling the Mind Scepter would suffer mental depletion, exhaustion, and overwhelming spiritual fatigue until they could no longer endure it.

The Mind Scepter's output was limitless, but the person or god wielding it could not control it forever. They would grow tired.

"Thor, get the storm clouds spinning. Control the lightning to form a massive electromagnetic ring and accelerate it. Wear Loki down inside it."
