Thor had not taken the future Stephen Strange told him about on Earth seriously.
Asgard had sorcerers and mages too. Loki was Asgard's foremost mage, and everyone knew what Loki was like—using daggers, invisibility, duplicates, and pulling out daggers to stab people.
That kind of mage... Thor had assumed Earth's would be no different.
So when Stephen Strange first spoke of Asgard's future, Thor had not believed him. It was too absurd.
But Stephen Strange had specifically warned that his mother would die because of it. Thor had no choice but to be vigilant. On top of that, Vivian, who had absorbed the Reality Stone, had been sent to Asgard by his father Odin through an ancient version of the Rainbow Bridge, while the Avengers around him had all confirmed it with solemn expressions.
No matter how doubtful or disbelieving Thor was, he had to hurry back to Asgard for a look and make preparations.
If he prepared and nothing happened, that would still be a good thing.
He hurried back to Asgard. The first thing he did was visit his mother and make sure she was safe. Then, learning from her that his father had gone out to retrieve Vivian, he rushed to the laboratory to find Odin.
"Mm." Odin answered heavily without even lifting his eyelids. "Go back to the feast that belongs to you. Do not disappoint the warriors who fought alongside you. There is nothing here that requires your presence."
Odin was sending him away.
Thor did not leave. He shook his head. "I have already attended the feast. Let them continue singing and dancing to their hearts' content."
"Is the Reality Stone the Dark Elves seek inside this robot?" Thor looked at the researchers moving about and constantly making preparations.
Odin was rather surprised that
