Goku became a Super Saiyan and defeated Frieza, after which He-El fought Beerus and used the World Tree to reverse Beerus’s Destruction. He-El killed Beerus, trained the warriors on Planet Namek, and left with the group for Earth, where Vegeta began considering a future role leading Frieza’s forces.

• Frieza overwhelmed Goku, Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, and Yamcha until Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan and killed him with a Kamehameha.
• Goku challenged Beerus and was knocked unconscious, then He-El fought Beerus and revealed that his techniques could overcome the God of Destruction’s strength.
• Beerus’s Destruction erased He-El from the world’s memories, but He-El fused the World Tree with his eye and reversed causality to restore himself and everyone’s memories.
• He-El used Constancy and Complete Ki Control to withstand Beerus, then defeated and killed him despite Whis’s pleas for mercy.
• He-El returned the group to Planet Namek, restored Piccolo and Nail to their own bodies, and gave the warriors updated techniques and advanced Ki training.
• He-El sent Vegeta through fifty years of an ordinary life in the Dreaming, then gave him the Ultimate Qi Training Technique, which Vegeta began to cultivate.
• After about two months of training, the group left Planet Namek for Earth aboard He-El and Bulma's Spaceship, and Vegeta asked He-El about taking over Frieza’s forces.

Trunks arrived from a parallel universe to stop He-El, but learned that his world and its dead could not be changed, then joined He-El in facing the Android threat. After discovering Cell had been secretly absorbing people, the group headed for Dr. Gero’s Android Base before Cell could reach Android 17 and Android 18.

• Trunks arrived from a parallel universe and warned that his version of He-El had killed Bulma and the others, but He-El explained that their universes were separate and agreed to let Trunks watch him.
• Dr. Gero and Android 19 attacked, but Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, and the others defeated them, and Trunks destroyed Dr. Gero before the Red Ribbon Army could question him.
• He-El discovered that Trunks’s time machine came from another universe and told him that changing the past would not restore his dead mother and friends, then agreed to help his universe after the Android threat was handled.
• He-El and Trunks found a second time machine and Cell’s shed shell in West Forest, and He-El concluded that Cell had been secretly absorbing humans for years.
• Trunks found Cell absorbing a person in Guagua City, but Cell escaped after revealing that he had killed his own universe’s Trunks and intended to absorb Android 17 and Android 18.
• Trunks reported Cell’s identity and plans to He-El, who gathered Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, and the others and led them toward the Android Base before Cell could reach the Androids.
