He-El defeated Yhwach and took control of the Three Realms, then returned to the DC World and confronted a civilization living inside one of his children. On Three-Body Earth, humanity rejected his rule, and his order to execute those who refused homage led to a massacre and the defeat of Leon’s coup.

Arc 17The Quincy Invasion

Black Ant fought the invading Quincy, protected Yamamoto and confronted Gerard while Ichigo returned to Seireitei. Aizen joined the battle and confronted Tokinada at the Tsunayashiro estate, leaving his purpose there unclear.

  • Yamamoto learned that Aizen had deceived him and orchestrated Rukia’s execution, then pardoned Rukia and the Ryoka as they departed for the World of the Living.
  • Black Ant discovered that his Zanpakuto spirit Heavenly Path was an auxiliary entity and learned that an unauthorized presence from the Three-Body World had crossed the Traversal Vortex.
  • The Wandenreich invaded Seireitei, and Black Ant escaped Quilge Opie’s Jail before defeating him by controlling the Reishi he had absorbed.
  • Black Ant healed Sajin Komamura, killed Bambietta, and promised to preserve Yamamoto’s life after Komamura sacrificed himself to protect his commander.

Arc 18The Battle at the Soul King Palace

He-El defeated Yhwach and reached the Soul King, but his attempt to touch the Soul King shook the Three Realms and drew the assembled fighters into battle. The captains and Ichigo Kurosaki attacked He-El, with Soi Fon marking him with Suzumebachi’s first strike as Yhwach predicted their efforts would fail.

  • Yhwach used Auswählen to revive his Schutzstaffel and reached the Soul King Palace, where he defeated Ichibe Hyosube with The Almighty.
  • He-El awakened and faced the captains, then devastated a vast stretch of Soul Society as Tokinada Tsunayashiro challenged him with Enrakyoten.

Arc 19The New Ruler

He-El defeated Yhwach and the forces opposing him, then took control of the Three Realms and established a new order. Back in the DC World, he learned that a civilization from the Three-Body Problem universe had entered his son He-El 320, and offered it a choice about its future.

  • He-El killed or defeated the Soul Society’s fighters, destroyed the Espada, and helped trigger the collapse of the Three Realms by severing the Soul King’s connections.
  • Urahara’s Spirit-Restricting Stone plan limited He-El’s control over Reishi, but He-El overcame the assembled fighters and acquired The Almighty.
  • Aizen pledged himself to He-El, and He-El killed Yhwach after declaring that his death was inevitable.
  • Mayuri activated his final attack, which destroyed the Seireitei, but He-El survived the resulting Reishi pillar and declared himself above the world.
  • He-El accepted Rangiku’s choice to stay with him, then made Yhwach the Three Realms’ Keystone, assigned rulers and guards, revived those he had killed, and returned to the DC World.

Arc 20The Emperor’s Judgment

He-El returned to Three-Body Earth and faced an Autonomous Faction uprising seeking to abolish the throne. After most of humanity refused to pay him homage, he ordered a mass execution, and Leon’s coup ended in defeat as He-El’s forces slaughtered the rebels and civilians.

  • He-El arrived on Three-Body Earth, punished soldiers who failed to salute him, and learned from Honor that humanity had grown resentful of his rule.
  • He-El ordered the Solar System to prepare for war and commanded Leon to make everyone see him and kneel, while the Autonomous Faction planned to abolish the Emperor.
  • He-El showed Cheng Xin the faction’s plans and told her to introduce him at the New Year’s Eve event, where the crowd and viewers largely rejected his authority.
  • At the palace-square broadcast, He-El projected images of people across the nine planets and waited as only eight percent of humanity paid homage to him.
  • Leon and the Autonomous Faction launched a coup, attacking He-El’s guards with mechs, mist, ability users, and defecting Warriors of the Willpower Corps.
  • He-El ordered the execution of everyone who had not paid homage, while Li Xi obeyed him, Fan-Ze led the Kryptonian warriors forward, and Honor destroyed the four mechs.
  • Machines and guards massacred civilians across the nine planets as Wade and Zhang Beihai fought the rebels, and He-El blamed the Autonomous Faction for humanity’s destruction.
  • Fan-Ze stopped Leon as he charged He-El, and Leon fell down the staircase and died after apologizing to his leader.
