History

Archon Rule and the Qixing

Rex Lapis personally directed Liyue’s founding-era development, coordinating humans and Immortals to establish the foundations of a stable nation. As Erosion increasingly affected him, he gradually distanced himself from the political center and allowed the Qixing greater control over governance. 175 181

Liyue–Sumeru Alliance

During an unprecedented Rite of Descension, Rex Lapis and Lin Feng publicly revealed their divine forms, signed an alliance Contract, and announced closer exchange between Liyue and Sumeru. 193 195

While the ceremony unfolded, Lin Feng infused Dendro- and Geo-aligned divine power throughout most of Liyue’s soil and Ley Lines. This allowed the world’s rules to recognize him as half a “local deity,” while also helping force hidden Archon residue from the land. 194

Restoration of The Chasm

Lin Feng and Zhongli reshaped The Chasm to open a stable land route between Liyue and Sumeru. Their Geo Authorities moved rock, soil, vegetation, and living beings with sufficient precision that the transformed landscape appeared natural and long-established. 195 196

Lin Feng later cleared Abyssal contamination from The Chasm and repaired its damaged Ley Lines, enabling its eventual recovery. 208

Azhdaha Crisis

Liyue was placed under emergency evacuation and Millelith mobilization when Zhongli prepared to unseal Azhdaha, the Geo Dragon King, in hopes of curing his Erosion. 244 247

Azhdaha initially attacked Liyue Harbor under the influence of Erosion and resentment. Lin Feng restrained the dragon with Dendro Authority while Zhongli confronted his old friend directly. 257

Through their combined efforts, Azhdaha regained his memories and senses. Lin Feng subsequently removed the Erosion-induced obscuring of Liyue’s history, allowing its people to remember Azhdaha’s former role in the nation. 258 260 261

Purification of Guili Plains

On Lantern Rite night, Lin Feng used the convergence of Liyue’s wishes alongside his Dendro and Geo Authorities to purge the Guili Plains of millennia-old Archon residue. 327 328

The purification restored the plains as usable land, exposed memories of Liyue’s ancient origins, and enabled plans for new agriculture, settlements, and public education. 328 397
