Background
Nahida was created as a new branch of Irminsul by Greater Lord Rukkhadevata. Rukkhadevata transferred her Authorities to Nahida before disappearing, leaving the two beings as effectively one entity with a roughly constant total power; their continued interference is a cause of Nahida’s comparatively weakened Dendro Authority. 433
For five centuries, the Akademiya’s Grand Sage kept her confined in the Sanctuary of Surasthana. Her “seal” was originally a meditation room built by Rukkhadevata, later modified so it could no longer be operated from within. 62 Though she could project herself into dreams, the Akademiya’s restrictions isolated her from Sumeru’s people and prevented meaningful growth.
Nahida first met Lin Feng in a dream after he sought answers about his origins. She comforted him over the consequences of clearing Withering Zones and identified his existence as absent from the world’s records. 19 Their recurring dream meetings became her principal connection to the outside world; she eventually asked him to awaken her from the Sanctuary once Sumeru could remain stable without the Sages. 20 32
Although Lin Feng offered an immediate rescue, Nahida initially refused because the Sages had tampered with the Akash and could threaten Sumeru’s citizens if she escaped. She regarded the people’s safety and her need to earn their recognition as more important than her freedom. 20 62
Appearance
Nahida is a petite, white-haired Archon with emerald eyes and an elf-like appearance. Her physical form is tied directly to her power: her familiar small form reflects an underdeveloped and depleted state, while greater power allows her to briefly take on a more mature youthful form. 101 282 326
- Small stature, often described as childlike in appearance.
- White hair and emerald-green eyes. 282 326
- Her presence carries a gentle vitality likened to a forest spirit rather than an oppressive divine aura. 389
- Her current form is not an indication that she lacks Archon status; she remains a qualified Dendro Archon despite her incomplete growth. 101
Personality
Nahida is intensely curious, compassionate, and observant. As the God of Wisdom, she is eager to hear Lin Feng’s stories of unfamiliar experiences and initially develops a strong interest in his unexplained origins. 20 She is also notably considerate: rather than resent Sumeru for abandoning her, she answers its people’s prayers during the Ruin Golem crisis and protects them despite centuries of imprisonment. 98 99
Her isolation left her vulnerable to loneliness and self-doubt. She seeks reassurance that she has value, worries about whether she is growing quickly enough, and compares her achievements unfavorably to Lin Feng’s. 33 219 282 Recognition of her governance and support from Lin Feng gradually make her more confident as an Archon. 217 219
Beneath her gentle, obedient demeanor, Nahida has a mischievous side. She intentionally delayed her escape preparations to surprise Lin Feng and later used the “Twin Gods” rumor as a calculated means of legitimizing their shared governance. 100 106
Abilities & Skills
Dendro Authority
Nahida possesses Dendro authority as the God of Wisdom, including the titles and traits Lord of Flora, Flora Affinity MAX, Flora Creation MAX, and Elemental Mastery: Dendro. 20
- Created a citywide barrier against Ruin Golem bombardment. 99
- Raised a massive wall of trees and bound the Ruin Golem with vines during her liberation. 99 100
- Can cause immense plant growth capable of halting attacks and restoring vitality across Sumeru City. 100
- Her Dendro Authority produces a persistent sense of dissonance because it is incomplete and shared with Rukkhadevata. 122 433
- Her direct combat power is considered weaker than her support capabilities, and Dendro is poorly suited to fighting the ancient Dendro Dragon. 66 215
Dreams and Consciousness
Nahida’s dream-related powers include Lord of Dreams, Event Control: Dream, Divine Dream MAX, and Consciousness Imbuement 9. 20
- Maintains a dream realm that Lin Feng can enter with her permission. 32
- Can interact with people and gather experiences through dreams, which served as her primary means of understanding Sumeru while imprisoned. 76
- Possessed Katheryne to explore Sumeru City and experience ordinary life beyond the Sanctuary. 73 75

- Simultaneously handled reports and reconstruction work after the Akademiya’s collapse. 102 106
- Distributed improved crop seeds and enacted policies that visibly raised ordinary citizens’ incomes. 162
- Applies political insight to human behavior, including allowing the “Twin Gods” rumor to establish legal support for Lin Feng’s role in Sumeru. 106
Divine Support
Nahida’s greatest battlefield strength is support. Her compatibility with Lin Feng’s power is described as resembling that of twin gods, amplifying her assistance to an exceptional degree. 66

- Provided ecological advice and logistical support during the transformation of Sumeru’s roads, canals, and desert environment. 168

Story Role / Major Arcs
Imprisonment and Dream Meetings
Nahida’s confinement drives Lin Feng’s early involvement in Sumeru. Their dream conversations establish her wish for freedom, her concern for Sumeru’s stability, and Lin Feng’s determination to remove the Sages without endangering civilians. 20 62 63
Liberation of Sumeru
When the Ruin Golem devastates Sumeru City, the populace remembers Nahida and prays for her aid. She answers by shielding the city, restraining the machine with Dendro power, and descending publicly after her seal is broken. 96 99 100 Her intervention overturns the Akademiya’s portrayal of her as weak and establishes her as Sumeru’s recognized Archon. 102
Co-Governance and Reconstruction
After the crisis, Nahida restores Akademiya operations, advances disaster relief, and formally supports Lin Feng’s place in government through the “Twin Gods” narrative. 102 106 Their contrasting public images—Lin Feng as majestic and decisive, Nahida as approachable and beloved—become complementary sources of stability for Sumeru. 283
Irminsul and Rukkhadevata
Nahida investigates the remaining consciousness of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata and learns that their divided existence weakens her Authority. 122 433 She rejects Rukkhadevata’s proposed self-sacrifice to resolve Forbidden Knowledge, standing with Lin Feng to pursue a solution that preserves her creator. 431
International Archon Affairs
As Sumeru develops, Nahida participates in meetings with Zhongli and Venti, prepares for negotiations with the Dendro Dragon, and supports cooperation with other nations. 217 565 She also assists in repairing Inazuma’s dream realm and considers humanitarian support during the Abyss crisis. 534 598
