Soul Rings manifest as halos surrounding a Soul Master’s body or Martial Soul. Their color reflects their age and advancement, while exceptional rings may develop divine markings or Ash-Gold coloration.

Acquisition and Use

Formation and absorption

A Soul Ring forms above a Soul Beast’s corpse after it is killed. The prospective user must sit in meditation, guide the ring with Soul Power, and remain conscious throughout absorption. An unabsorbed ring dissipates after two hours 22.

• Soul Rings allow Soul Masters to surpass cultivation bottlenecks, such as Fang Ling advancing from Level 10 to Level 11 after obtaining his first ring 23.
• Soul Beast selection is constrained by the Soul Master’s Martial Soul, intended combat style, physical endurance, and spiritual strength 21 109 172.
• Compatible rings can contribute to Martial Soul growth and grant related specialties 3 120.

Ring age enhancement

Fang Ling’s Stats Panel can allocate Points to increase a ring’s age. This process draws in Heaven and Earth Origin Power and can produce major disturbances.

• Increasing a ring’s age improves its associated soul skills and talents rather than raising Soul Power directly 229 230.
• Upgrading several rings can require days of bodily adaptation and cause Heaven and Earth Phenomena 230 325.
• Raising rings beyond 100,000 years becomes exponentially more expensive: each additional 100,000-year stage costs twice as many Points as the previous one 350.
