Background / History

Tang Hao lived in hiding around Notting City while secretly protecting Tang San and Xiao Wu. When Dugu Bo approached their route, Tang Hao intervened to keep him away, apparently fearing that Xiao Wu’s identity as a transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beast could be exposed. He revealed the Clear Sky Hammer and his nine soul rings, identifying himself as the Clear Sky Douluo. 137

He was devoted to Ah Yin and placed his hopes for revenge on Tang San’s future growth. Tang Hao expected Tang San’s Blue Silver Grass to awaken into the Blue Silver Emperor and wanted his son to cultivate both Twin Martial Souls to strength sufficient for revenge against Spirit Hall. 149 181

After Tang San’s attempted second awakening failed because the Blue Silver King was missing, Tang Hao regretted allowing Tang San onto the Path of Poison. With no apparent way to restore the Blue Silver Grass’s potential, he instructed Tang San to cultivate the Clear Sky Hammer instead. 203 204

Tang Hao’s old injuries steadily worsened, particularly after triggering Fang Ling’s landmines. By the time he returned from Slaughter City with Tang San, his cultivation was only around Level 90 and his meridians were clogged by accumulated injuries. 204 292 294

Battle Against Fang Ling

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao ambush Fang Ling to reclaim the Blue Silver Emperor right leg bone. Despite their coordination and the Great Sumeru Hammer, they are overwhelmed by Fang Ling’s seven hundred-thousand-year soul rings and superior strength. 297

Tang Hao detonates his soul rings to give Tang Xiao and Tang San a chance to escape. The resulting clash produces a Heaven and Earth Phenomenon, but Fang Ling survives and Tang Hao is killed. 297 298
