Background / History

Xiao served as a Yaksha General under the Emperor. Before arriving on the Douluo Continent, he fought through “mountains of corpses and seas of blood,” lost loved ones, and endured the erosion of karma. 1

Life on the Douluo Continent has been less painful for him, but he spends much of his time detached from others, avoiding classes and assignments at Nuoding Academy. 1

Personality

Xiao is cold-spoken and withdrawn, responding to the dormitory’s challenge rules with “Uninteresting” and keeping others at a distance. He is unfamiliar with handling large groups of people despite his past as a general. 1

Although he considers the academy conflict troublesome, he steps in when Xiao Wu’s side needs help. The chance to fight again visibly excites him after his otherwise idle life on the continent. 1

Xiao arrives at Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy as a mysterious new student. His speed, isolation, and refusal to follow the dormitory’s challenge custom immediately draw attention from Tang San, Xiao Wu, and the other students. 1

When Xiao Wu’s side is repeatedly defeated by Wang Ze’s group, Xiao reluctantly takes their place. He summons Hupo Yuan and incapacitates dozens of opponents in an instant, revealing a level of strength far beyond the academy students. 1
