History
Hupo Yuan first appears at Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy when Xiao faces Wang Ze’s group after Xiao Wu asks him to represent their dormitory. Xiao summons the weapon before the opposing students surround him; shortly afterward, he returns to his seat while the entire group has fallen. 1
The surrounding children assume Hupo Yuan is Xiao’s Martial Soul because it manifests out of thin air. Xiao Wu and Tang San both recognize that it is unusual: Xiao Wu has never encountered it among the Martial Souls known on the Douluo Continent, while Tang San detects no spirit-power fluctuation and rejects both the Martial Soul and spirit-tool explanations. 1
