Background / History

Yan is the daughter of the Mother Angel Yu Tong and a mortal father who later died. Yu Tong vowed eternal love to her husband, a decision Yan remains protective of when Hua Zhen speaks dismissively of it. 420

She inherited Yu Tong's Angel genes and became a disciple of Holy Kesha. Kesha valued Yan's talent, composure under pressure, and combat ability, often keeping her close and considering her as a potential successor. However, Kesha also judged Yan to be overly rigid: an excellent executor of Justice, but not yet an adaptable leader. 421

During an assignment on Terra Star, Yan investigated Devils created through Morgana's Devil Factor. There she encountered Hua Zhen for the first time, initially doubting that the youthful-looking Male Angel could be the legendary figure of Angel history. 417 420

After completing many important missions over three thousand years, Yan replaced Ruo Ning as Kesha's Left Wing Guardian. The post gave her responsibility for representing Kesha and Justice across the Known Universe and command over the Sky Blade. 421

Following Kesha's fall, Yan inherited the highest authority over Kesha's Data Vault and Armory and succeeded her as the New Angel Queen. Yan fights Hua Ye while Pan Zhen supports him with Solar Flare Bombardment and a Triangular Body Being launches mental attacks. Though overwhelmed by the coordinated assault, she remains composed until Hua Ying swaps space with her and rescues her. 626 627

Yan later adapts to Hua Ye's enhanced Black Hole Engine, using the Silver Wings Archangel and Thunder Plasma Electric Nets to keep him from creating a Black Hole near the Eighth Defense Line. Kesha ultimately intervenes to save Yan through Space Displacement. 629
