Background / History

Ge Xiaolun was initially an ordinary college student, self-described as a shut-in who spent his days bragging and watching anime. His Super Gene activated after he recklessly intervened in a dangerous incident; without it, he would likely have died. 4 110 His enhanced body quickly drew the attention of the authorities, who identified him as the Power of the Galaxy. 2

After being detained following his fight with Liu Chuang, Xiaolun was approached by A Jie and Qiang Wei. A Jie successfully drew him into the Super Soldier Company by appealing to his desire for romance, glory, and Qiang Wei herself. 5 9 At the academy, he initially struggled with demanding training, crude fighting ability, and the reality that he was expected to face alien invaders. 17 20

During the Tianhe Battle, Xiaolun first panicked, urged retreat, and tried to keep Qiang Wei away from the battlefield. Seeing her and his comrades under fire ultimately forced him to confront his fear. 110 He began fighting decisively, destroyed Taotie warships, repeatedly risked his life to protect Qiang Wei, and endured a prolonged battle against Feng Lei despite catastrophic injuries. 111 119 121

Jiang Ming deliberately allowed Xiaolun to experience the brutality of war to temper his mentality and awaken the potential of the Power of the Galaxy. 124 Xiaolun later becomes the person Jiang Ming entrusts with protecting Hua Xia if he does not return. 210
