Qin Ming began his public rise in Double Tree Village and had only recently achieved New Life when Feng Yi’an and Shao Chengfeng recognized him as the unexpectedly formidable youth they knew. His early combat style was built from hunting, survival instincts, and improvised weapon use rather than formal instruction. 16 21

Before entering the Cui Household, Qin Ming lived an impoverished, wandering life with his grandfather, who taught him the family’s Silk Scripture. His earliest recovered memories of the Cui Household showed him arriving as a ragged child of approximately three or four and being taught to identify himself as Cui Chonghe. He later established that he had been selected because of his resemblance to the household’s legitimate son, rather than being that son himself. 72 76 78 231 350

The Cui Household knew him as Cui Chonghe, an identity tied to fragmented memories and a life in which he was ultimately treated as an expendable substitute. After learning that the household had nearly killed him to appease the Wang Family, Qin Ming rejected their authority and declared that he would live only as Qin Ming. 68 80

His childhood within the household was not uniformly harsh: he received protection, valuable resources, and apparent familial affection, while being encouraged to concentrate on the Silk Scripture. The underlying arrangement nevertheless kept the real Cui Chonghe insulated from danger. At fourteen, Qin Ming was sent away with elderly clan members to draw off enemies, suffered a cracked skull and memory loss, and was subsequently ordered confined to Black White Mountain. Fu Entao’s buried Sword Manual became a crucial early inheritance. Qin Ming used it to organize his formerly unsystematic fighting style, learn concealment techniques, and understand the higher stages of the New Life Path. 21

Qin Ming continued searching for his grandfather after gaining influence and cultivation resources. Eighteen years after their separation, he still mobilized Meng Xinghai and others to investigate, but privately believed that his grandfather’s former health made survival unlikely. He is fiercely loyal to people who aided him when he was weak. He risks his consciousness to rescue Ning Siqi because Ning Siqi once sacrificed his possessions to obtain the Li Fire Scripture for him, and he repeatedly protects Li Qingyue despite the political danger surrounding her. 328 625 643

His manner toward enemies is provocative and irreverent. Qin Ming often uses mockery to destabilize arrogant opponents, but he is capable of restraint when killing would create larger factional consequences. 367 501 627

His independence reflects his experience of having his life controlled by the Cui Household. Even when powerful organizations sincerely value his talent, he refuses to place his fate at the mercy of their highest authorities. Despite his caution, Qin Ming is willing to endanger himself to protect others. Qin Ming rises from an unknown youth of Double Tree Village into a recognized New Life cultivator. He studies Fu Entao’s manual, reaches the Third New Life, acquires the Mutton Fat Jade Iron Saber, and gains Meng Xinghai’s protection against the Cui Household. 21 53 80

Before gaining that recognition, he supports himself through dangerous wilderness hunting, killing a Saberhorn Deer and a mutated Donkey-Headed Wolf while witnessing signs of far stronger creatures in the mountains. His later recovery of childhood memories reveals how he was raised as Cui Chonghe’s substitute, deepening his determination to reclaim his own identity and inheritance. 8 76 78 79

Luofu and Beyond the Mundane

At Luofu Mountain and the surrounding Beyond-Mundane conflicts, Qin Ming develops Li Fire Force, fuses multiple Heavenly Light arts, and becomes a major contender despite being underestimated as a young New Life Evolver. 97 101 120

He arranges for Xiang Yiwu to help Li Qingyue escape the Five Core Disciples, then survives a lethal fight with the Golden Armor Guards and finds her badly wounded. His subsequent wilderness experiences include surviving the four old demons’ encirclement, killing the Silver Wolf King, and using Fragmented Demon Seeds to nourish further transformations. He eventually returns as an Outer Saint rather than the discarded substitute his former acquaintances remember. 110 145 209 231

Great Yu, the Night Ruins, and the Heart Lamp

Qin Ming fuses the Sacred Fiends, advances through the Second Realm, and enters the Fourth Realm during his battle against Jade Emperor and the Sea Clan. Jade Emperor’s death establishes Qin Ming as a dangerous rising force. 297 430 432

During the Western Territory War, he repeatedly stops a Fourth Realm Silver War Beast from reaching Green Maple Town. Unable to win a direct confrontation, he prepares an ambush using his separated consciousness, the Torn Cloth, and other aids. Afterward, he enters the Third Realm and uses Spirit Travel to rescue Ning Siqi at Taihe Town. 325 327 328

The war also costs him friends and protective elders, including Jin Yuan and Meng Xinghai’s martial granduncle. These losses temper his rise in status and remain central to his memories of God’s Fall Plain. 337 341

He later survives the Great Dream Divine Mushroom’s layered Void Realms while Kunling suffers a devastating spore calamity. Though others believe him dead, he endures repeated illusionary death trials and returns. During a separate expedition, he defeats nine opponents in Earth Moon’s Colosseum, becomes its Temporary Owner, and receives an exotic-metal cloth fragment that joins the Torn Cloth. 378 382 409

The Cui Household Reckoning

After concealing his true cultivation in Great Yu Capital, Qin Ming accepts Cui Chonghe’s challenge while still appearing to be only in the Spirit Field Realm. He defeats Cui Chonghe, destroys his Yellow Court and Pure Yang Consciousness, and makes the Cui Household an irreconcilable enemy. 496 501

This confrontation follows repeated efforts by Cui Household members to kill, confine, or reclaim him. Once they recognize his success with the Silk Book Method, some seek to use him to decipher the scripture or guide others onto its path. One Sword, Taiyi, and Realm Faction

Qin Ming uses multiple identities to compete across realms and conceal his true strength. He later revives One Sword, Taiyi, and Realm Faction as stable embodiments, though he initially exposes only One Sword to deflect suspicion. 450 564 584

While traveling with Tang Yushang in the Otherworld, he also uses Yang Ming and Cat Ming as temporary identities in an attempt to sell demonic medicine. Discovering that someone from their home territory has already flooded the market, he becomes entangled with suspicious medicine pavilions and wanted notices. 576

His identities begin to converge publicly when he bestows Saintly Evil roots on his disciples. Witnesses connect the resulting phenomena with One Sword, Realm Faction, and Taiyi, and the revelation spreads across the Nine Heavens. 733

During his investigations of the Fate Medicine Fields, his true body cultivates in the desert while three selected youths gather information.
