  • At the negotiation site, a white Weasel arrived seated in meditation on a donkey, startling the gathered people.

Ch. 28High-Level Standoff

Qin Ming watched Red Haze City’s final negotiation with the mountain beings, as the identities and alliances of the powerful figures were gradually revealed. The meeting grew increasingly tense, and the sight of a feather-robed figure atop an azure bird triggered Qin Ming’s memories of the bloodshed from when he was fourteen.

  • Ling Xu and Wei Mo exchanged words about Wei Mo’s departure into the deep mountains before they and the other two beings began a private negotiation.
  • The negotiation’s tension drew powerful beings from both sides, including the Moon Insect and an azure bird carrying a feather-robed figure.
  • Qin Ming saw the figure’s feathered robes and recalled the bloodshed from when he was fourteen.

Ch. 29Feather Robe Immortal

Qin Ming recovered memories of the Feather Robe Youth beating him during the destruction of his village and resolved to find him, while a confrontation between powerful figures led to an agreement over the outsiders and resources in the Special Nodes. The chapter ended with a mysterious woman deciding to have Qin Ming tested as a possible alternative candidate.

  • Qin Ming recalled that the Feather Robe Youth had brutally beaten him during the burning of his village, after which two figures carried him away and he remained unconscious for months.

Ch. 32Piercing the Night

Qin Ming learned more about his mysterious past from Xie Lingxi, then prepared to enter the mountains with Mu Qing, Cao Long, and the others as factions competed over newly discovered rare products. The expedition began with a Talking Finch alerting others to their arrival, and Five-Colored Haze suddenly rose from the mountain depths.

  • Xie Lingxi told Qin Ming that a man and a woman had brought him near death to the region, and that she had given him a pill to replenish his qi and blood.
  • Xie Lingxi explained that Heavenly Light pierced the night at irregular intervals and caused rare products to appear, while the black-cloaked woman and the Purple-Eyed Crow discussed the region's unusual Heavenly Light and Xie Lingxi's choice of the Giant Spirit God path.
  • Qin Ming learned that factions from Red Haze City had agreed with the Higher Lifeforms to reopen the mountains' outer areas, and he told Mu Qing, Cao Long, and Wei Zhirou that he would guide them only through those areas.
  • The Three-Eyed Sect and Golden Chicken Ridge approached local groups ahead of the expedition, while You Liangyun prepared to undergo a Second New Life and planned to find Qin Ming after entering the mountains.
  • Qin Ming entered the mountains with Cao Long, Wei Zhirou, Mu Qing, and their teams; a Talking Finch reported their presence, and Cao Long drew his bow to shoot it down.
  • Five-Colored Haze rose from the depths of the mountains, prompting people to charge toward the Land of Four Illuminations.

Ch. 33Land of Four Illuminations by Five-Colored Haze

The Land of Four Illuminations by Five-Colored Haze appeared, drawing powerful fighters into a savage battle while Qin Ming stayed near the outskirts. After You Liangyun tested him and withdrew, Qi Huaien led an armed group against him, and Qin Ming struck back violently.

  • Five-Colored Haze rose over the mountains as treasures ripened in a Special Node, prompting experts and aberrants to rush toward it.
  • Wei Mo fought Ling Xu, the Civet Cat clashed with a Mantis Beast, and the Old Weasel battled a winged creature while other powerful fighters converged on the treasure.
  • Mu Qing, Cao Long, Wei Zhirou, and Qin Ming withdrew to the outer area, and Qin Ming headed toward the Earth Fissure as You Liangyun followed him.

  • Qin Ming used a spear and the Long-handled Black Gold Hammer to overpower the attackers, killing several and crippling the Second New Life Evolver who wielded a halberd.
  • Qi Huaien drank a scarlet medicine and explained that he had attacked Qin Ming to protect his chance to improve his talent and study beside an important figure's teacher.
  • Qi Huaien and the remaining men attacked Qin Ming, but Qin Ming defeated them with overwhelming strength and killed them all.
  • Qin Ming cleaned up the battlefield and headed for the Earth Fissure from his past.
  • Qin Ming felt his fatigue fade near the Special Node, entered the Earth Fissure, and saw strands of Silver Light underground.

Ch. 35Real and Fake

Qin Ming explored the Earth Fissure and discovered that practicing the Silk Scripture there left him unharmed and seemed to improve his body. Aboveground, the staged battle over the Five-Colored Haze gave way to a real, unprecedented ten-colored spectacle, drawing every powerful figure toward it.

  • Qin Ming ventured deeper into the Earth Fissure, found glowing silver, golden, and purple threads, and wondered whether the Special Node had enabled him to master the Silk Scripture’s methods.
  • The Purple-Eyed Crow learned that Qi Huaien had died and decided Qin Ming might not need its intervention; the woman in the black fur cloak then told You Liangyun to stay.
  • Ling Xu, Wei Mo, the Civet Cat, and other mountain powers disguised themselves and staged a battle to keep outsiders from competing for the rare products.
  • Qin Ming practiced the Silk Scripture in the Earth Fissure as the underground shook, while the Five-Colored Haze at the battlefield faded and reappeared elsewhere.
  • A mountain-wide upheaval revealed a brilliant ten-colored spectacle, and the powerful figures rushed toward it.

Ch. 36Mysterious Treasure Secured

As the Five-Colored Haze and ten pillars of light drew together, Qin Ming found a lesser treasure hidden in the Earth Fissure and secretly carried it away. He began peeling off its stone shell, but stopped before revealing what lay inside.

  • Ten pillars of light illuminated the mountains as experts charged toward the spectacular Nodes, while others fled after deadly clashes at the Five-Colored Haze.
  • The two phenomena circled along Spiritual Veins and gradually drew closer, frustrating Ling Xu, Wei Mo, and the other Higher Aberrants as they chased them.
  • Silver threads and colored light began emerging from Qin Ming's Earth Fissure, leading him to clear a blocked passage and discover a half-head-sized black stone.
  • Qin Ming waited for the light mist to recede, sensed that the stone was a treasure, and carried it out before anyone could catch him.
  • Qin Ming hid in a snow-filled hollow and used the New Life Method to peel away the stone shell, then stopped when its fluctuations grew stronger.

Ch. 37When the Matter Was Settled, He Brushed Off His Sleeves and Left

Qin Ming hid and later examined a stone-skinned object he had found, learning it contained Mutton Fat Jade Iron, while a mysterious five-colored, ten-light treasure emerged from the mountains. The Green-Clad Woman seized the treasure and escaped the Higher Lifeforms, and Qin Ming discovered a faint fluctuation in one half of the stone she had snapped.

  • Qin Ming left the dangerous mountain forest without carrying the stone and returned to Double Tree Village with Mu Qing, Cao Long, and the others.
  • Qin Ming met the Green-Clad Woman and the White-Clad Girl beneath the Black White Twin Trees, then watched the women leave for the mountains.
  • The major organizations and Higher Lifeforms searched the Nodes, while Cao Long drove off elders who tried to seize his uncle's Longevity Tree.
  • Qin Ming peeled back part of his hidden stone and identified its contents as likely Mutton Fat Jade Iron before burying it again.
  • The Green-Clad Woman escaped the underground fissure with a glowing treasure, absorbed it into the red mole between her brows, and fled on a golden bird as six Higher Lifeforms pursued her.
  • Qin Ming found the two halves of the Green-Clad Woman's snapped stone and sensed a faint fluctuation in one of them.

Ch. 38Great Explosion

  • Qin Ming watched New Life Evolvers fight over a discarded stone while the Green-Clad Woman fled with the dazzling treasure and battled pursuers in the sky.
  • Tang Jin and the Purple-Eyed Crow caught up to the Green-Clad Woman, but she killed the Red Lightning Bird with golden threads as Tang Jin attacked with a straw rope.
  • Qin Ming entered the mountains with Mu Qing, Cao Long, Wei Zhirou, and Old Man Liu, who led them to Fire Bat Cave to collect scarlet grass that could help achieve Second New Life.
  • Qin Ming hid half of the stone inside a wild ox before leaving the mountains with the group and their gains.
  • Qin Ming studied the stone at home, peeled away its skin, and discovered mysterious produce inside despite sensing no fluctuation or Heavenly Light.

Ch. 39Sleepless Night

Qin Ming discovered that a mysterious icy liquid from a Sun Stone flowed into his brow and left him unusually energetic and unable to sleep. He helped Old Man Liu after Golden Chicken Ridge and the Three-Eyed Sect tried to seize his red grass, then opened the Sword Manual and found something that made the world seem different.

  • Qin Ming absorbed the icy liquid, which warmed as it traveled through his body and gathered at the center of his brow, leaving him feeling vigorous.
  • Qin Ming learned that a Golden Chicken Knight and two companions were pressuring Old Man Liu to sell his red grass, so Old Man Liu ate most of it and was struck with Yellow Mud Palm.
  • Qin Ming restrained himself from attacking Golden Chicken Ridge, while Old Man Liu recovered and explained that the Three-Eyed Sect had also tried to force a purchase.
  • Qin Ming spent the night unable to sleep, practiced his techniques, and lifted an eleven-hundred-jin stone stele with one hand.

  • Qin Ming retrieved the Sword Manual and, after opening it at home, was stunned by what he saw.

Ch. 40The Whole World Had Changed

After absorbing the liquid from the scraps, Qin Ming discovered that intense concentration let him spiritually resonate with the Sword Manual’s writer and inherit blade techniques beyond those recorded in it. He grew more confident about facing his past in Moonfall City, then asked Old Man Liu about borrowing books from fallen households.

  • Qin Ming saw and heard a bloodstained elder while studying the Sword Manual, then realized that the scenes revealed the writer’s experiences and unwritten blade techniques.
  • Qin Ming resonated with the elder’s life and mastered blade forms beyond the manual, including a slash the elder had never recorded.
  • Qin Ming assessed his strength and believed he could fight people of Third New Life from a distance with his Long-handled Black Gold Hammer, though Heavenly Light Force remained dangerous up close.
  • Cao Long, Mu Qing, and Wei Zhirou gave Qin Ming, Old Man Liu, and the villagers an Intermediate Willpower Skill as compensation for their help.
  • Qin Ming found the skill inferior to his Silk Scripture and concluded that only crystallized lifeblood could enable spiritual resonance.
  • Old Man Liu promised to search for Spiritual Matter with Qin Ming after recovering, and Qin Ming asked about borrowing books from households in decline in exchange for Night Silver.

Ch. 41Famous Everywhere

Qin Ming cared for Old Man Liu and learned that Black White Mountain’s mysterious treasures had drawn attention across the region. As nobles gathered in the mountains, Nie Rui sought Qin Ming out to test the claim that he was stronger than Zhou Wubing.

  • Qin Ming fed Old Man Liu nourishing Fire Snake meat, and Old Man Liu’s health and energy improved dramatically.
  • Cao Long, Mu Qing, Wei Zhirou, and others discussed the attention Black White Mountain’s Ten-Colored Light Pillar had attracted from powerful organizations and distant authorities.

  • Feng Xing challenged Cao Long to spar before Nie Rui arrived and asked to meet Qin Ming, whom Zhou Wubing had praised as stronger than himself.

Ch. 42Defeated, Then Off to Become a God

Qin Ming sparred with Nie Rui and defeated Red Haze City’s celebrated genius using improvised spear techniques. He then defeated Shen Jiayun as well, leaving the city’s young nobles stunned.

  • Nie Rui challenged Qin Ming to a spar, and their opening exchanges surprised the gathered nobles with Qin Ming’s speed and skill.
  • Qin Ming adapted saber techniques into his spear forms, overwhelmed Nie Rui, and defeated him.
  • Nie Rui accepted his loss and revealed that an elder of the Esoteric Sect had invited him to follow the path of becoming a god.
  • Shen Jiayun challenged Qin Ming, but he defeated her by dislodging the bead flowers in her hair and pressing his spear to her shoulder.
  • Shen Jiayun predicted she would surpass Qin Ming if they met again in a year, and Qin Ming returned her bead flowers to her hair.

Ch. 43Clearing Doubts

After defeating Nie Rui and Shen Jiayun, Qin Empire Ming learned about opportunities in Red Haze City, Mineral Essence, and the dangers of Mutton Fat Jade Iron’s mysterious uses. As the others entered the Great Rift Valley to explore newly discovered Nodes, Golden Chicken Ridge and the Three-Eyed Sect threatened the villages into sending New Life Evolvers, and Qin Empire Ming volunteered to go.

Amid the chaos, Qin Ming killed a hostile Golden Chicken Knight and then faced a Third New Life Being who had witnessed him beside the corpse.

  • Golden Chicken Ridge and the Three-Eyed Sect sent villagers into the Great Rift Valley to search for mysterious resources, while Qin Ming explored the underground caves.
  • The villagers agreed to search for safe escape routes as well as resources, but mutated creatures launched a large-scale attack on the forces guarding the valley.
  • Golden Chicken Ridge and the Three-Eyed Sect retreated underground, where both humans and creatures fought through the maze of passages.
  • A Golden Chicken Knight who had bullied Old Man Liu threatened Qin Ming, and Qin Ming killed him with the Long-handled Black Gold Hammer.

  • The middle-aged noble told Qin Ming the flower could help cultivate Heavenly Light Force, and Qin Ming said it stirred his heart.

Ch. 46True Teaching on a Sheet of Paper

Qin Ming learned about Heavenly Light Force from Huang Jingde before fighting Huang Jingjun and Huang Jingde over the Three-Colored Flower. He defeated both brothers but left Huang Jingde alive and unable to fight as the flower neared maturity.

  • Huang Jingde explained how Heavenly Light Force was cultivated and combined while Qin Ming asked about the Three-Colored Flower.
  • Qin Ming learned that Master Xu Kong and Zhou Wubing had left, then buried the jade box Huang Jingde gave him before the fight.
  • Huang Jingjun attacked Qin Ming, who disarmed him and inflicted a nearly fatal saber wound.
  • Huang Jingde charged Qin Ming, but Qin Ming’s saber forced him to defend with Heavenly Light and gradually wore him down.
  • Qin Ming unleashed a powerful slash that knocked away Huang Jingde’s spear and severed his right arm, ending his ability to fight.
  • The Three-Colored Flower continued to mature as Qin Ming looked forward to harvesting it.

Ch. 47A Bountiful Harvest

Qin Ming harvested the Three-Colored Flower, killed the Huang Family brothers, and escaped the Great Rift Valley through a route used by mountain folk as mutated beasts ravaged the underground. After reaching the forest, he realized the giant white bear and Golden Bull had left their nearby lairs and decided to raid them.

  • Qin Ming crippled Huang Jingde with his thrown hammer, harvested the Three-Colored Flower, then killed Huang Jingde and Huang Jingjun and took their supplies.

  • Qin Ming followed the mountain folk's escape route through narrow underground passages and emerged in a dense forest outside the Great Rift Valley.
  • Qin Ming realized the white bear's and Golden Bull's lairs were nearby and decided to raid them while the beasts were away.

Ch. 48When the Music Ended, the Crowd Dispersed

Qin Empire Ming raided the white giant bear’s and golden giant bull’s territories, returned safely with spiritual fruits and fish, and reunited with his family as the crisis in the mountains ended. After the visiting Lineages departed, he and Old Man Liu prepared to enter the mountains together in search of spiritual matter.

  • Qin Empire Ming changed into Wang Nianzhu’s armor, stole Spirit Fish from the white giant bear’s Fire Spring, and gathered ripe fruits from the golden giant bull’s Fire Fields before fleeing a donkey colt.
  • Qin Empire Ming returned to the village with fruits and melons, reassured Xu Yueping and Yang Yongqing, and delighted Wen Rui and Wen Hui; the Mutant Squirrel bowed for a treat.
  • Xu Yueping and the other villagers alerted Silver Vine Town, and Red Haze City sent experts as the different species withdrew from the mountains; the Lineages suffered heavy losses, especially Golden Chicken Ridge and the Three-Eyed Sect.

Ch. 49Unconventional

Qin Empire Ming and Old Man Liu planned to seize Spiritual Matter from a Silver-Headed Ant nest, while Golden Chicken Ridge began registering New Life Evolvers in the villages. After preparing supplies and studying an escape route, the two were poised to raid the nest, with Qin Empire Ming hoping to achieve a Third New Life and recover more of his memories.

  • Old Man Liu proposed several dangerous backup plans involving a spirit turtle and Long-Armed Apes, but Qin Empire Ming rejected them in favor of their original plan.
  • People from Golden Chicken Ridge arrived to register the village’s New Life Evolvers, alarming residents who feared the group would replenish its losses by demanding people and supplies.
  • Qin Empire Ming and Old Man Liu entered the mountains and speculated that the Great Rift Valley massacre might have resulted from an understanding between Red Haze City’s upper ranks and the mountain aberrants.
  • Old Man Liu led Qin Empire Ming to a dim Fire Spring and showed him the Silver-Headed Ant nest, whose honey wine and purified Spiritual Matter were valuable targets.
  • The pair repeatedly scouted the terrain and moved their supplies into the mountains before preparing to attack the nest.

Ch. 50A Stirring Heart
