Yuu joined Tsunade’s campaign against Iwagakure, where his drinking and unconventional swordsmanship advice shaped the front-line effort. Ōnoki’s trap meant for Yuu instead drew Kakashi into repeated attacks on Iwagakure’s supply lines, leaving Ōnoki puzzled.

Saiki Yuu rescued Kakashi from Iwagakure’s ambush, killed its attackers, and provoked Ōnoki into mobilizing for a decisive battle. Konoha prepared for the confrontation, with Minato joining Yuu as he planned to raid Iwagakure’s camps.

  • Ōnoki approved a plan to kill Kakashi, but Yuu arrived as Mazhī and Daishi cornered him and cut down the two Elite Jonin.
