Crew Culture

The crew regards its members as partners bound by shared ideals rather than profit. This principle led them to reject Shiryu of the Rain as a direct crewmate when he admitted he sought the crew primarily for its potential and influence. The crew initially consists of Luffy and Zoro when they are identified as the Straw Hat Pirates. They defeat Marine Colonel Morgan in Shells Town and Buggy in Orange Town, but are later severely wounded in a clash with Reno's crew at Syrup Village. 10 16
