Amon's true body had actually come to Backlund in person, severely injured Pallez Zoroast, who was parasitizing Leonard, and stolen his Sequence 1 Worm of Time characteristic. With that, the Angel of Time had gathered all the Sequence 1 Beyonder characteristics and the Uniqueness. Only the apotheosis ritual remained before he could advance to Sequence 0 and attain the same status as deities such as the Evernight Goddess and the Lord of Storms.
