After learning from Pales Zoroaster how to deal with Amon's avatars and prevent them from passing on information, Klein had begun preparing this plan.
He had spent two full days repeatedly using his Faceless abilities to enter the City of Silver and discuss the details with Chief Colin. He had Derrick use his official duties as an excuse to patrol the City of Silver, while he searched for other avatars of Amon through the vantage point provided by Sefirah Castle.
This had not been wasted effort. Their exhaustive search had indeed uncovered two more that had slipped through the net.
Of course, Klein could not rule out the possibility that more avatars of Amon remained hidden. But he suspected that all the avatars in the City of Silver combined probably did not even amount to Sequence 2. Otherwise, leaving these "spies" stationed here for so long would mean leaving those Beyonder characteristics idle, wasting a portion of Amon's strength. Besides, the City of Silver's Beyonders were not particularly high in Sequence. Even its strongest member, the Chief, was only Sequence 4. There was no need to leave angel-level power here to monitor the place.
After all the avatars had been marked, the Chief chose an appropriate time to gather some of the residents in batches. He announced a plan to step up patrols along the road to Afternoon Town and establish more outposts and supply points to support the expedition to the Giant King's Court that would soon be formed.
Naturally, one of Amon's avatars was among those summoned. However, more than a hundred people were involved, and the City of Silver had organized several large-scale patrols before. This operation was not particularly out of the ordinary, so it did not arouse the avatars' suspicions.
